Practical, clean and well priced hotel.

Liked: Good location, friendly staff and all round good value for money, The breakfast is basic but acceptable. If you want to stay in the historic centre this is an excellent choice. Best used for as a base. Not a lot of frills.
Disliked: The hotel is narrow and feels dark and pokey. The rooms are small and lack a homely feel. Neither where they bright or otherwise inviting. I would recommend staying slightly outside the historic centre. There's plenty of choice within a 5 minute walk. That way you avoid the traffic (difficult to get in and out of the centre) and the noise.

Excellent location, lots of positives with some flaws

Liked: Restaurant is pretty good, open till late in the evening and restaurant staff are very helpful as well. Person at reception who deals with booking local trips is helpful and very good in English too
Disliked: Airco off upon arrival, too hot in the room as a result and airco not sufficient to cool the place in a reasonable period of time. Terrible first night as a result after travelling almost 24 hrs :-( A lot of staff is not proficient enough in English to handle complaints/issues. Trips and room service can be booked electronically in theory but not so good in practice
