Nayland Hotel

Clean, quiet, and reasonably priced!

Liked: The location was excellent, breakfast was great, everything was clean and quiet.
Disliked: The room was quite small (but coming from Canada we understand this is likely the case for many rooms in London) and the bed was a little firm for our liking but for a couple of nights it was all we needed.

Liked: For the price it was great. Friendly staff, decent breakfast, clean and well maintained, and good TV and WiFi.
Disliked: Decor a bit dated

Cheap and small in great...

Liked: Location - close to Paddington Station and restaurants. Reasonable price for London and easy to find; Decent shower; Seemed relatively secure.
Disliked: Bedroom was noisy, old sash window didn’t shut properly overlooking busy noisy road - no double glazing; Stuffy/too hot but can’t open window as too noisy! Could have used noisy fan but no AC. Two single beds - hoping for a double. Facilities all a bit tired - not very modern. Won’t be staying again.

Good Access to Paddington and...

Liked: Loved having a lift to the floor I stayed in, and how close it was to Paddington station - much easier (and cheaper!) staying here and getting a train to Heathrow than staying in a hotel near Heathrow and getting a shuttle bus! Also, the bonus was the fan on the wall as I run hot and appreciated the cool down.
Disliked: It was a shame there wasn't a separate kettle in each room as one had to use the hot water dispenser in reception for hot drinks, and the shower was very small (can't be helped though!) and there was no shower gel provided.

For the price we paid,...

Liked: The location was great, a 5 minute walk from the Paddington station and 10 minutes walk from Hyde Park/Kensington gardens, the surroundings were quiet and safe. The room was cleaned every day. The hotel offered us breakfast (not included in the price we paid) both on the first morning we were there and on Easter day.
Disliked: The rooms were a bit small and dated,there wasn’t a socket near the bed.
