A very disappointing stay… will...
Liked: Room was clean and the breakfast had an excellent choice on the menu.
Disliked: A very disappointing visit this time as we were kept awake by workman, working in the next door room beyond a reasonable hour …11.20pm. We spoke to the receptionist the next morning and received a less than understanding response.

Liked: The breakfast was excellent and the young waitress think her name was Sumner was really polite and helpful. Lovely setting.
Disliked: So it says light bites but we couldn't get any food. Luckily a restaurant not too far. Also there was a bingo and disco which was fine but our stable rooms were very close and the noise was quite loud till late

The best-ever stopover, a complete...
Liked: My stay at Mulberry House, which I chose for its location, because I needed an overnight stop, turned out to be one of the most beautiful and enjoyable places I've stayed. The extensive grounds were fascinating to explore and brilliantly landscaped and planted. Formal terraces, a lake and a bridge nestled amongst mature trees, a wild mini-meadow, a natural stream, a cultivated field and winding paths. Each of the beautiful, luxurious rooms opened onto a spacious lawned courtyard. There was plentiful parking, with designated disabled spaces by the main house. My wheelchair accessible room was approached by a sturdy ramp, and I was able to sit out with a morning cup of tea while my tiny assistance dog, Olive, frolicked on the grass and was fussed over by the friendly staff. Every one of the staff I met was friendly, relaxed, good natured and helpful. Everyone seemed happy and I understand many have worked there for a long time. I was told separately by several staff members that Mulberry House is 'like a family'. As a solo traveller I was grateful to feel part of that family. One incident demonstrated this. Olive was enjoying eating some if my delicious breakfast, when she was stung by a wasp, and became unwell and distressed. I am happy to say she was OK after an hour or so, but in that time, Wendy, Sammy and Desirée comforted me, gave me water and tea, made up a cold compress and called the vet for advice. A big shout out to Jackie, Kim and Aaron too, for their welcoming kindness. I'd like to move in!
Disliked: I loved everything.
