A stylish and energetic stay...
Liked: We had a great stay at Moxy Chelsea! The hotel is modern, stylish, and full of young, vibrant energy, perfect for a city trip. We requested a City View room facing the Empire State Building and got exactly that. Upon check-in, we received drink vouchers that we could use at the lobby bar, and one night we went up to the rooftop Fleur Room, amazing views and great music, definitely worth it! The staff was helpful: they held a package we had delivered from Europe a week before arrival, and everything was there waiting for us. We also asked for a kettle in the room (as it's not standard), and they happily brought one up. The location is excellent, most major sights are within walking distance. It’s a busy, energetic neighborhood with a lot going on around. If you're looking to relax or unwind in peace and quiet, this probably isn’t the hotel for you.
Disliked: The rooms are small (welcome to Manhattan), and there’s little storage space, clothes go on wall hooks, and suitcases stay open on the floor, so things get a bit chaotic after a few days. The lobby is minimal and tucked upstairs, so it doesn’t offer that classic hotel “welcome home” feel after a long day out.

Everything I needed
Liked: The rooms are a little small (but that's New York) but are comfortable and clean with everything I needed for my stay. The location is good and a little quieter than some of the other spots. There are nearby subway stations and a lot of attractions are accessible on foot from the hotel. The street itself has a whole bunch of flower and plant shops which feels very safe and makes for a nice walk.
Disliked: It's a little expensive for the size of room I had - there isn't really a spot for a suitcase

Perfectly located for exploring the...
Liked: The staff was very receptive to our checkin needs and throughout the stay.
Disliked: The elevator was dark and that made it difficult to read the floor numbers.

Not Worth the Price
Liked: Location was great
Disliked: For the price of what we paid for 3 nights, I honestly expected better. The room itself was constantly humid. The shower not only leaked into the bathroom space, but also underneath the floorboards of the room so there would be random air pockets in the floor and if you stepped on one, water would come out through another floorboard near the sink. There was no mini fridge or microwave even though the space could have allowed for one. The floor smelled like marijuana the second you stepped off the elevator. Honestly, the only reason I’m giving it a four is because of the location. Very accessible to the subway and walkable to a lot of interesting destinations. Outside of that, I can’t think of another reason that would be worth staying here again.
