Perfect Location, nice furnishings, comfy...

Liked: The location is fantastic. The bed was really comfortable as were the pillows. I liked the changeable shower head. The view of the city was fantastic.
Disliked: It was a very stuffy room and the a/c didn't have much affect. To be honest I didn't enquire about this not being effective as I wasn't in the room that much due to a busy schedule.

Exceeded expectations, well worth the...

Liked: Location was close to bus, train, taxis and city tour buses; breakfast buffet was varied with high quality fresh fruit, vegetables, and baked goods; rooms were immaculate and quiet; electric teapot was nice too.
Disliked: We liked the recycled plastic cups, which seemed to be threaded to have a screw-on lid, but were told that there were no lids for them. This is a missed branding opportunity; cups and lids to take away are an eco-friendly souvenir and a good talking point to demonstrate Motel One's sustainability marketing.

I will use this chain...

Liked: The staff were extremely helpful and polite. The kingsized bed was really comfortable and cleanliness excellent.
Disliked: The shower room floor was very slippery when showering.

Nice location, unbearable temperature in...

Liked: The hotel location is perfect, the staff are friendly and the lobby/bar area is lovely & comfortable and also reasonably priced.
Disliked: The hotel had no air con and claims this is due to how the ‘eco friendly’ nature of the hotel works. However the heat in the corridors and rooms was unbearable and it wasn’t even warm outside (around 13/14 degrees). We had to request a fan which we kept on all night. To me this is not very eco friendly as we heard most guests requesting the same thing. I understand the need to be eco friendly but not at the cost of comfort. Considering the cost of the hotel is very similar to surrounding hotels. Next time we stay in Glasgow we will choose another hotel.

Great, funky hotel in a...

Liked: I loved the decor and especially the bar area, this was really relaxed and had a good atmosphere later on.
Disliked: We didn’t think the breakfast was worth £13, we decided to go out for breakfast
