Quaint, quiet and a good...

Liked: The room was quaint and comfortable. I loved the access to the private patio (shared with the room next door). I appreciated the fridge and used the comfortable airchair and tv. The breakfast options each day were great and the staff was friendly.

Good location and for 1...

Liked: Location was excellent, breakfast good. Room comfortable and bigger than expected with a lovely courtyard.
Disliked: Hotel undergoing refurbishment and room in an annex further up the road, therefore, a walk to breakfast. We were lucky it wasn't raining.

Great all around.would definitely stay...

Liked: Great location. Short walk to Oxford Street with plenty of shopping and places to eat. We were given a nice room with an outdoor courtyard. Breakfast was very good. Staff we dealt with were wonderful.
Disliked: Some would complain about certain aspects, but we go with the flow and had no complaints.

Disappointing- not as advertised

Liked: The location was ideal for our requirements. Staff very friendly.
Disliked: Room which was in a separate building down the road. We were given a basement room which is long overdue updating and decorating. Noise from the room/ apartment above from early hours in the morning.

Passable

Liked: The location.
Disliked: Bed was a camp stretcher with mattress on top. Ok. But not that comfortable. Noisy neighbors in room next door playing loud music and banging. Breakfast included very basic.

Excellent value, location, & wonderful...

Liked: I have stayed at the Morgan Hotel quite a few times, and it is always clean, comfortable, and a good value. You get a key to the locked front door, which makes for extra safety. The location is perfect for central London, next to British Museum, and close to two tube stations. There is a free breakfast that is better than the usual hotel fare. Apart from location, my favorite thing is the wonderful staff at the Morgan Hotel. They are always kind, cheerful, helpful, and will go the extra mile when I need help with reservations or getting a taxi. It's the next best thing to staying with friends.
Disliked: Because it is a small hotel, you have to use steep stairs and the rooms are small. This is standard for small family run lodging. The trade-off is worth it to avoid impersonal giant hotel chains or super expensive hotels. That becomes more motivation to travel light without heavy luggage. On this visit, they were removing wallpaper along the stairway, and that made it a bit difficult to traverse, with workers, debris, and tools. I didn't mind and the workers were friendly, but more picky travelers wouldn't be happy.
