Bad.never returning

Liked: To be honest for how much we paid for this little room we didn’t get the best service. Internet was down so no reception and we could only use the spa facilities if booking a treatment. Unheard of
Disliked: The bed so uncomfortable, the pillows had seen better days. Do they know it’s 2025. WiFi was no existent

Exceptional

Liked: The hotel was absolutely beautiful and set in a stunning location.Rooms were beautiful.Food was fantastic too .
Disliked: Waiting 45 minutes to pay the bill in the restaurant.

Liked: Quiet location, very tranquil.

Stay was okay but not...

Liked: The grounds of the hotel are lovely and the spa was enjoyable.
Disliked: The room was full of cobwebs, I get that it is an old hotel however surely this should have been looked at before the room is available for check in. The fridge/mini bar in the room was also not cold and milk was warm for hot drinks. The food and drinks are very overpriced, again I get it is based upon the area however for the small amount you get it is not justified. We also waited over 50 minutes for someone to return to us to ask about a dessert (we had already said we wanted to look at the dessert menu) following a very expensive meal in the Wilding restaurant so in the end we gave up and had to go up to the staff to ask if we could pay the bill instead. The service was terrible and I’m sorry but for what you are paying, I expected a more polite service.

Liked: Bathrooms were nice. The grounds were beautiful
Disliked: The food and drinks was overpriced in the restaurant. The beds were uncomfortable and we couldn’t use the pool as it’s only for adults who has purchased a treatment

Scenic views in a luxury...

Liked: Very scenic and great outdoors area. Spa facilities are great.
Disliked: Room temperature control is archaic.Breakfast is limited and very average.Room service is slow - for us never came to be.Some of the facilities needs a good refurb - bathroom specially (water pressure is poor).

Ideal retreat to get away...

Liked: Charming, peaceful setting with beautiful surroundings
Disliked: Small issue, just the smell of a bit too much cleaning product when we entered our room but this was okay after we aired the room for a while
