Liked: Location location location. A beautiful place

Not as good as expected

Disliked: No milk, no spoons.Bathroom was very hot.The pub over the road was not very good - one meal was inedible, the other was just about edible. Glassware was dirty.

Liked: The location is beautiful and the hotel is just stunningHaving stayed last year we just wanted to re visit and I’m sure we shall stay again as we visit the Cotswolds quite a lot

Liked: The location is beautiful straight out of a story book. The staff are helpful and very friendly. The bed was very comfortable.
Disliked: The location is beautiful out of a story book. The staff are helpful and very friendly. The accommodation is comfortable but there really isn’t anywhere in the room to sit on a Sunday night if you’ve had some dinner in the Swan pub (because all the facilities at the hotel are closed) and you go to your room. The bedroom had areas which weren’t too clean like the TV remote and phone, also the bathroom floor was not clean.

Liked: The grounds and surrounding area is lovely the room was nice with a patio area - the spa was nice
Disliked: The check in procedure was very poor - it took 45 minutes the second time we went to reception. The staff did their best but they were very understaffed- it really looked like staff had been cut to the bone - if you are charging over £200 per night you expect good service !

Liked: The location of this hotel is superb. Set right besides the picturesque River Windrush with beautiful, quiet grounds to explore.
Disliked: The shower in our room was cold so we were both unable to shower in the morning. The room did not have a fan or drinking water which was disappointing as it was around 26 degrees. Our room was right above reception so it was rather noisy with both people and cars coming and going while we were trying to sleep.

Liked: The breakfast was superb. The staff very helpful and did not have to wait.
Disliked: noise from the extractor fan in the bathroom could have been quieter.
