The Spotlight on Mimi's Hotel Soho

Chic, compact comfort in the heart of Soho

Modern, boutique-style and nestled in one of London’s liveliest neighborhoods, Mimi's Hotel Soho puts you right in the middle of the action. Just a 2-minute walk from Oxford Street and mere steps from iconic theaters and music venues, this hotel is a smart pick for music lovers who want to stay close to the buzz. With stylish, cozy rooms, a sleek bar, and 24-hour service, it makes for a trendy yet comfortable base in central London.

Why Concert-goers love it

Set in vibrant Soho, this hotel is a dream for fans heading to gigs in nearby venues like the Prince Edward Theatre or others in the West End. You can walk to most shows—no need for late-night transport struggles. Thanks to its 24-hour front desk, coming back after a midnight encore is a breeze. While the area outside is lively, the rooms are well soundproofed for a peaceful night’s sleep post-concert. The 2:00 PM check-in also means you’ve got time to settle in before an evening show.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking for a fun, central base
- Solo travelers catching a must-see artist or show
- Couples planning a romantic, music-filled weekend
- Fans who need a quiet recovery spot after the encore
- Budget-conscious music lovers who want a stylish stay without overspending

Food and Drink Options

While there's not a full restaurant on-site, Mimi's offers a cozy bar for pre- or post-show drinks. You're also surrounded by Soho's endless food scene—everything from late-night ramen to upscale tapas is just steps away. No 24/7 room service, but with so many eateries nearby, you won’t go hungry. Late riser? Plenty of nearby cafés open late morning for that much-needed post-concert brunch.

Nightlife Options

Right outside your door, you'll find some of London’s best nightlife—from intimate jazz bars to buzzing clubs and stylish cocktail lounges. The hotel bar is perfect for a low-key drink, and you're never more than a few minutes’ walk from great live music venues or DJ sets.

What People Say

Guests love the location—you’re truly in the heart of the action. Many reviews praise the modern, clean design and the friendly, helpful staff. The compact but well-designed rooms are a highlight, especially for travelers who just need a comfy place to crash after a night out. The overall vibe? Trendy, efficient, and perfectly placed for entertainment.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms can be on the smaller side—something to note if you’re traveling with lots of bags or gear. Some guests also mention that the lively Soho streets can be noisy, though the hotel provides good soundproofing. If you’re looking for in-room dining or big hotel amenities, this place leans more boutique than full-service.

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers who want to stay stylish, central, and surrounded by nightlife, Mimi’s Hotel Soho is a compact gem in London’s entertainment heart.

Compact comfort! Hefty price tag!

Liked: The location of Mimi's is excellent. It is within walking distance to almost everywhere in Central London and many of my favourite spots. The team at both the hotel and the bar are welcoming and friendly, I guess that's expected for the price you pay, though. The cocktails were great and they aren't stingy with the room water like some hotels I've been to. Amazing what they've managed to pack into such a small space.
Disliked: The small space is incredibly small, perfect for a single night, and a solo traveller, but it came with quite the hefty price tag. Sadly, my stay was over Pride weekend, so I'm not sure there would've been a cheaper option within a suitable distance, so I saved some pennies on taxis. I had a room without windows. If you're not great in tight spaces, I wouldn't recommend it.I also felt that £10 to hold your bag is a bit steep when you've paid £200 for a room that's smaller than my bathroom.

Very good

Liked: Staff at reception were great, super friendly, super efficient and highly professional. Thanks Room was nice size, tidy and cleaned. Also very peaceful and quiet with minimal fuss.
Disliked: Isue with air-con omitting a foul damp smell when switched on. Also, a faint smell room had been smoked in. Not good for an asthma sufferer.
