Liked: I was attending an event on Thursday evening so tagged a day on at my own expense. I travelled by car as I was leaving early on Saturday morning. I used the 28 Pavillion Car Park. I'm not a complainer but the location was the only thing going for the hotel
Disliked: In order to book a room personally to add on to a corporate booking was a nightmare. I rang twice, got absolutely nowhere, was told at one point I was unable to add the same room to the corporate booking. Eventually I was told to ring the hotel and go through to reception, I did twice, the phone wasn't answered for 20 mins plus and on 2 occasions the phone was picked up and then put straight back down.When I arrived I found the booking in cold and not very welcoming. Then the lifts!! You wait an age for the lifts, it really is that annoying. The room was ok, not £275 ok irrelevant of the location. The amenities in the room were fine, TV worked ok, WIFI very hit and miss and shower cold in the morning.The breakfast room is quite possibly one of the dullest areas I've ever been in in any hotel and the welcome and the food did little to change that mood. Cereal choice good but the cooked breakfast was over greasy and many items lukewarm at best.During the stay my booking clearly moved from the corporate to a personal one. I waited at the lifts, got to my room to find I couldn't get in my room, waited for the lifts to go to reception and within a millisecond of saying what room I was in I was told "yes, it's because your booking has changed and we need to take payment". They couldn't have mentioned this previously??I had the misfortune of a 2nd breakfast on Saturday and then strangely enough the chap on reception on check out was actually very welcoming and attentive.
