Excellent City Centre Location

Liked: Ideally situated for central Chester. A short walk and you’re in the city centre. There’s paid for parking at the hotel in a secure location with barriers. Only stayed for one night so didn’t use any of the facilities. All the staff were very friendly and the young lad Sam who led the breakfast service was the consummate host. So polite and enthusiastic as he went through everything including any allergies etc. I heard him several times as he repeated to each guest each time with the same friendly tone. Our room was in the separate part of the main hotel across the bridge which unfortunately meant we are at the side of the main road and due to the unusual exceedingly hot weather and no air con we had to have the windows open which led to the road noise. Was like trying to sleep with the whacky races outside. Got out of bed early hours to shut the windows.
Disliked: If really hot weather try to get room away from main road.

Great location - great staff

Liked: Location and staff were perfect.
Disliked: The hotel needs a bit of investment. It is getting tired. I did not like the cost of breakfast being slipped into the final bill. If I had not liked the staff so much I would have made a fuss but £18 per person for breakfast was a bit much.

Ok the choice of local...

Liked: The hotel is ideal for Chester centre attractions, pubs and restaurants in addition the spa facility is excellent.
Disliked: The room we were allocated was clean and comfortable but in serious need of updating.
