I guess they give you a balcony to sit and watch people, kinda stupid in my opinion, but nowhere says i couldn't smoke there, I also tried calling them and couldn't, i would get this message saying "do not disturb " which is scary! , they came to my room to i guess kick me out cus when i finally got a hold of them to find out my check out time it's it was already time to check out so I just needed a few minutes to gather my stuff and be out. I understand is New York city but the fact that they literally busted into their room next-door because "I didn't hear them knocking" on my door and then proceeded to start yelling at me telling me I was gonna get arrested. How I was smoking in the room ; mind you I never once smoked in the room and even open the door to show them. I don't have a problem with them telling me I couldn't do this. It was the way that they did it how it came out and how it made me feel which was like a criminal. I will never stay at this place again! there's also no elevator. And the door doesn't even have a proper lock. Thank God I have my own travel locker because who knows what else could've happened.

Disliked: Customer Service; no elevator; not proper door lock.

Liked: Even though the hotel is basic and has no lift ( only four floors ) the cleanliness was way above the four star hotel i stayed in last year. Location was excellent with very easy access to subway, trains and buses. Also close to lots of pubs, restaurants and takeaways. I felt very safe with the security front door.
Disliked: Just the lack of lift, although i reqested a low floor on booking and got a great single room with plenty of room and a large bed

Well appointed hotel in excellent...

Liked: Much better than other reviews might suggest. Very clean, large room with modern decor. Excellent location close to Penn Station. Good WiFi. Was able to leave my bag there before check-in as I arrived early. Decent price considering the location and quality.
Disliked: Some street noise but that's unavoidable in midtown Manhattan.

Good for a short stay

Liked: Location, check in /out process, friendly and helpful staff.The room was very basic and smaller than expected, but good enough for a one night. I would recommend it for a short 1-2nights stay.
Disliked: Very noisy at night, so don't forget to grab earplugs from the reception.

Pleasant

Liked: Perfect location, very close to Times Square and other attractions.Good value for money. Friendly staff. The room is okay for a short stay.
Disliked: The room was bare basic and very tiny . We were staying for few nights so it was a bit squashy. No chest of drawers only one tiny bed side table. With two adults and two luggages was a bit uncomfortable. The level of the noise is high at night, but that's the compromise for the perfect location.

Liked: No better inexpensive location for a concert at MSG. Comfy bed, clean bathroom.
Disliked: Only 3-4 third rate channels on the TV (Story TV?). Noisy neighborhood. I'm in shape & healthy, but a lot of folks would complain about the 4-story walkup. Couldn't lock the window, which led directly to a fire escape. The gentleman at the front check-in is a tad brusque, to say the least.
