Simple and functional for a...

Liked: The room was super affordable and exactly what we needed for an overnight trip. There's a Waffle House across the street, just a bonus for a late night meal after a concert. The gentleman checking us in and out was very fashionable and very polite.
Disliked: The bed was pretty squeaky but I'm a heavy sleeper so it wasn't a huge deal.

Good value for the price

Liked: Bed was comfy; location was very convenient; lobby was very clean; A/C worked really well; free breakfast, wifi, and pet friendly rooms are a plus (we did not use them though); very quiet location close to restaurants.
Disliked: Some staff weren't that friendly; the floor in the room was creaky; no fan in the bathroom so it was stuffy while showering; the tub was very slick, treads or safety bars would be helpful.
