Microtel Inn & Suites by Wyndham Charlotte Airport

Liked: Friendly staff. Easy access to interstate.
Disliked: Rooms need a good cleaning. Check-in was very slow. They need more than one attendant when a problems arises with another guest.

Sorry to say, my stay at Microtel was very disappointing. I had to change rooms - the first room smelled horrible. I changed to another room, where the bedspread had cigarette burns on it. The microwave door or cover fell off when I tried to pop some popcorn. The bathroom sink was not clean. It wasn't worth the money I paid - I promise I will never stay at another Microtel By Wyndham again!

Do not book or stay here. If you are not satisfied, they will not give a refund at all, but only offer you a room that is as bad as the first one. Very dissatisfied and will never return.

Liked: Nothing positive about this place.
Disliked: The rooms were very damp and smelt bad. The hallway carpets looked water stained. The carpets in the room were damp as well.

Good, short stay while in...

Liked: The room was very clean, bed was comfortable. The staff was very nice, and helpful with the check in process. My husband and I stayed here because we were attending the Metallica concert, the location was very convenient for us to get to the Bank of America Stadium!
Disliked: Really only had one issue, our key card stopped working. The front desk staff was very nice and gave me a new one as soon as I notified them. Would also like to see a little more variety with the breakfast, such as fresh fruit or yogurt, but wasn't a deal breaker! They do need more parking though, the parking lot was completely full when we got back the second night.

Just ok

Liked: Location to Billy Graham Library. Refrigerator and microwave were nice to have.
Disliked: Bathroom had a few black hairs from previous occupant on the floor. Shower had plastic shaving blade cover laying in the drain. Remote didn't work. Had to operate from the side of the tv. Could not get temperature regulated for sleeping. Sheet not enough and sheet and comforter too much even with the A/C. Comforter was heavy winter weight it seemed. Breakfast was lacking any fruit, eggs, yogurt. Everything was bread and gluten. Waffles, english muffin, bagel. Need other options. Peanut butter and honey packets would have been nice. In room coffee would have been appreciated.

Our stay was enjoyable and...

Liked: The front desk staff were very welcoming, friendly, and helpful. They suggested I take an uber to get to my destination and told me to ask if I needed anything else. The night staff was helpful as well when we returned. The room was pretty clean but had some noticeable downfalls.
Disliked: There was a spot against the bed frame and floor that looked like dried up food or vomit. The door handle in the bathroom was also broken so it wouldn’t allow you to lock it. I didn’t need that function so I didn’t complain. The sheets and towels had a couple of dark stains on them as well and the desk chair was very stained. I would suggest getting it deep cleaned or replacing it. The trash can at the rear of the building was overflowing as well.
