Disappointing - 2 out of 5

Excellent location and service. Poor...

Liked: Couldn't have asked for a better location for the city centre, just off George Square. The staff and customer service was excellent, especially Niki on reception.
Disliked: The noise from outside was terrible, and we were 5 floors up. The bed dips in the middle and you'd down roll into it. The worst sleep we've ever had in a hotel. The rooms are ridiculously hot - a fan was supplied but even with the radiator off completely it was roasting. Nowhere near enough wardrobe/cupboard/drawer space - only 6 hangers (total, not each) and one drawer for 2 people for 2 nights, no hook on the back of the door for coats etc. Not enough coffee and tea. Water in the room would have been nice. Had read that the rooms were small but they really are a squeeze, you can't even put the chair directly in front of the mirror because of the lack of room. The toilet wasn't sturdy/secure. You'd sit down and it would move, and bang (loudly) against the lid. The whole room is need of a freshen up, really tired and worn-looking. Tatty edges, grubby walls and floor.

Happy to stay here again...

Liked: Breakfast was good.
Disliked: Wi-fi did not work on floor 7, toilet didn't flush but I fixed it, bed / furniture too big for size off room, 2 people could not pass each other. Parking, no detail given out by hotel how to get to their own parking.
