Liked: Breakfast was good, but was the same everyday a little variation would be good. The location was good for what we had planned. Plenty of parking spaces. Good to get small drinks cooler in room. Nice large comfortable bed.
Disliked: Cleanliness in room was below par. Bathroom floor needed a good scrub. Fresh drink stains on full length mirror when we checked in which we cleaned off ourselves. Food/drink stains on wallpaper above waste bin could easily be wiped clean. Paint flaking on curtain pelmet needed attention. Some noticeable dust as well. When bed was made up by guest services the pillows were left squashed flat instead of plumping them up. ie room needs more attention to small details. A school trip spoilt our stay on 2 evenings (stayed for 3) They were teenagers & using the corridor for running up & down, screaming, constantly slamming doors etc. The teachers in charge were not taking control and seemed to be amused by it and I had to call reception twice as we couldn’t get to sleep which was annoying as it was late in the evening. Staff were not friendly or personable in all areas of service. Reception was particularly bad when both checking in & out. It came over as being an inconvenience & too much trouble - they have lost sight of who the customer is. Customer service training wouldn’t go amiss.

Disliked: The rooms were way too small , very overpriced and toilet was grubby

Liked: The family room was spacious and great for a family of 4.The swimming pool was great and that was the main reason we chose to stay here.Location great for visiting Chester and the zoo.We would stay again.
Disliked: I feel like the carpet could have felt cleaner, maybe a shampoo? And the breakfast quality could be improved. Sausages and bacon mostly.The shower was cold, but after a phonecall to reception, that was quickly resolved which was good.

Liked: The staff were so lovely at all points of our stay especially the blonde receptionist who swiftly became our greyhound, Magic’s best friend! I really appreciated the dog friendly areas and our son loved the pool!
Disliked: Nothing!
