Marsh Farm Hotel

Needs updating

Liked: Nice clean, comfortable bed and clean towels
Disliked: Lot of dust and rust on radiator in the bathroom and panel on the bath. Holes in the wall by bed. Old furnishings.

Comfortable but would not use...

Liked: Room was adequate for my needs but there was no options for replenishing coffee and tea. There was no milk in the room when we arrived and we had to go to the shop to replenish our drinks
Disliked: replenishing the tea, coffee and milk was not done, we were offered breakfast but due to the kitchen not being in use there was only the option of toast, cereal and hot drinks, which was not value for money

Only book after a £1000000...

Liked: Location
Disliked: The breakfast, stale bread warm water for the tea, no milk for tea etc the service of the rooms need to learn how to use a vacuum

Very tired establishment

Liked: Quiet location
Disliked: Very tired decor and buildings Staff were very scarceRan out of milk at breakfast, they had to go to the shopMould on the bread.Continental breakfast was just toast, juice, cereal, coffee and some croissant

Disappointing and needing investment if...

Liked: I was at the back of the hotel and although I could hear the M4 in the distance with the windows open, at night I had a restful sleep on a good bed and no traffic noise.
Disliked: The hotel is tired. It desperately needs investment, decorating, new carpets and additional staff.The very basic “continental breakfast” was toast and jam and watery coffee.

Liked: Room was clean
Disliked: Only bread and jam was available for the breakfast

Worst place ever - Avoid...

Liked: Unfortunately I cannot say much apart from the bed was clean and this was the only positive thing about the entire place. Had good WiFi
Disliked: - no restaurant or bar- didn’t even have a hot breakfast but the continental breakfast was a really poor selection of Aldi items. - room was not clean and bathroom smelt of damp and bleach. Felt like this had tried to have been covered up but the smell was shocking. - Executive king room is definitely nothing like the picture and it was definitely not a king bed. Two small singles pushed together. - gardens are completely a mess. You cannot sit and enjoy the outdoors without feeling you are in a jungle. - no one is there to speak too unless the receptionist who said she was the only one. The place is completely run down and I will not be staying again. Wish I could upload all the pictures but it’s only allowing me upload 4

Convenient

Liked: Convenient and roomy
Disliked: No breakfast available except for croissant, toast and cereal. Couldn’t find any refills for the coffee and tea facilities
