Liked: Great location beside CMU. Elegant mansion with all the original features and decoration.
Disliked: The only thing I can complain is that there is no elevator access to the 3rd floor suite that we stayed at.

Liked: In my decades of traveling this may be one of the most beautiful properties I've ever stayed. My nephew is a student at Carnegie Mellon so I wanted to stay near the campus for his convenience. Upon entering the Mansions on Fifth, I felt like I was transported back in time to when I stayed in England in my 20s. The architecture, accommodations, service personnel, etc. were top notch. Exceptionally impressive.
Disliked: It was confusing to enter the premise at night about parking accommodations. There seemed to have been a party or reception at an adjoining property.

Unique stay, great location in...

Liked: This was such a unique experience in Shadyside. My husband and I are Pittsburgh locals but stayed here one night. It's walking distance to Walnut Street, and the architecture of the building was so beautiful. The room was spacious and clean & the staff was very friendly!

Mansions are cool

Liked: Unique experience to stay in a facility different than a regular hotel.
Disliked: No complaints.
