Macreddin Rock Bed & Breakfast

Comfortable and relaxing stay.

Liked: The room was clean and spacious and very bright, it was also warm enough during the whole night.
Disliked: Just a suggestion, maybe more variety in the breakfast.

A perfect place to relax

Liked: The house is cozy and seeing the baby lambs nearby was amazing. Also, the owners were lovely and helped with nice tips for us to explore around.
Disliked: We didn’t use the TV in the end, but it was tiny for the size of the room. So I’d suggest to update it for the future.

A convenient base to visit...

Liked: We received a warm welcome by the host. The house was warm and dry, ideal for hill-walkers. It is set in an ideal location for access to the mountains, with private parking (ideal for motorbikes). Tea, coffee and snacks were on tap if desired. The host had no problem with us bringing in wet gear, and we were helped with drying them out overnight. The bedroom and en-suite were clean, comfortable and warm. The cooked breakfast was thoroughly enjoyed. And we were sent on our way with good wishes. It was hearty Irish hospitality. The whole experience was a pleasure. We accidentally left some cash, and Michael the host kindly forwarded it on to us. Thank you.

Liked: We had a wonderful stay at this cozy B&B. It felt very homey and comfortable, everything was clean and well-kept. The hosts are a lovely couple – very friendly and welcoming. Olga and Wolfgang.

Great stay, wonderful staff, beautiful...

Liked: Great location in the Wicklow area. Easy commute to Glendalough. We arrived at a great time of year as we were able to have a small “meet and great” with some baby lambs! Highlight of the stay for sure!! Highly recommend this B&B.

Exceptional

Liked: Perfect location for our trip, The hosts were were extremely friendly, Margaret and Michael and one of their daughter that served us breakfast. They have a beautiful Irish charm about them and made us feel genuinely welcome. We will definitely stay here again .
Disliked: There wasn't anything that I didn't like.

The breakfast was amazing but...

Liked: The breakfast was lovely and the room was spotless
Disliked: There is no sound proofing between rooms. I was woken many times by people arriving back from a nearby wedding in the night, could hear the people beside me and below me using the bathroom in the night, could hear conversations in the night. Almost no sleep. I did speak to the owner and got the very curt response that there was nothing they could do about it.

Liked: I had a fantastic stay at Maccreddin Rock last week while attending a wedding in nearby Brooklodge Hotel. Extremely convenient location to hotel & Margaret was lovely to deal with.
