Located in the heart of bustling Chester city center the Macdonald New Blossoms Hotel is the perfect place to enjoy the famous shopping and historic places of interest that Chester has to offer by day as well as boasting the best of Chester's buzzing nightlife literally on its doorstep. Just 10 mins walk from Chester racecourse and Cathedral. Free WIFI via the cloud is available in all areas. Rooms have period features and modern facilities including a flat-screen TV. Some rooms at New Blossoms have leaded windows and cornices or city views. All rooms have an private bathroom a work desk and ironing facilities. The restaurant serves seasonal ingredients and the best produce available. A full English breakfast and room service are available. Chester has a long history and the Roman Minerva Shrine Medieval city walls and Victorian Grosvenor Museum remain today. The famous Roman amphitheater is literally at the end of the road! The North Wales coast and Liverpool city center are 30 minutes' drive away. This is our guests' favorite part of Chester according to independent reviews. Couples particularly like the location — they rated it 9.2 for a two-person trip. We speak your language!

Great location but the hotel...

Liked: Location was great - right in the city centre
Disliked: We had a 5 light ceiling light which I was convinced was a health hazard.Catering arrangements were well below par - breakfast was inedible .Reception staff hardly ever there - there was a sign to call someone if you needed help

Very disappointed.

Liked: The staff were pleasant.
Disliked: The hotel was really quite glum and shabby. The bar and restaurant were shut. The bedroom was tired; the toilet didn't flush properly, you couldn't use the shower gel and floor tiles were cracked. The room's decor was tired and the whole hotel felt as if it were in slow decline.I paid for an 'Executive Room' which overlooked a very unpleasant yard.. Not worth £139.The breakfast was very poor. There was no choice and most items mentioned on the menu were actually not available.This is not the only McDonald's hotel we have stayed in recently which we were extremely disappointed in. We shall be staying well clear of this chain in future.

Very good

Liked: Central location with large rooms. The bar and restaurant look good. Slightly dated in places but the staff were really helpful.
