Liked: Good firm comfortable mattressReceptionist called Megan very helpful moved us from a disgusting room to one where we at least felt comfortable enough to sleep in . Megan was a credit to the hotel but she did spend a lot of the time we were there apologising to many guests with the same complaints as ours.
Disliked: Decor is old dated and very scruffy. Carpets in many rooms are wrinkled, faded, stained and dirty. Carpets were so wrinkled you couldn’t even wheel a case over them.Furniture dates back to the 80’s is scuffed, dented and chipped. Sofa and chair were faded and very scruffy .Bathroom floor was giving way around toilet Walls in corridors had peeling and stained wallpaper Dinner was below average, meagre, badly cooked and very overpricedBreakfast buffet was very basic . Only one slice of toast per guest. Cooked breakfast was very mean only one of each item.General decor in all areas except the reception was NOT 4 STAROnly lift was out of order our entire stayPhotos on their website are not a true representation of the hotel.Needs a major refurbishment before it can claim to be 4* again and charge its current prices. I would not stay here again until it is refurbished.

Liked: The hotel was nice and clean and had plenty of facilities, we were only there for one night so didn't really get the benefit of them. The staff were lovely.
Disliked: The rooms weren't very sound proof, we were in the 'Lodge' part of the hotel but unsure of what made it a Lodge. We could hear every word of the couple in the room next to us and my daughter even heard the guy throwing up. There was also a dog barking, not sure if it was in the same room as the couple. Also £26 is a bit over the top for breakfast (not that we had) bit you don't pay that in London, never mind Falkirkl😆.

Disliked: Breakfast surprisingly hot buffet - not fresh Evening meal disaster - warm food obviously left under keep warm light - timing meant it came with a crust

Wonderful weekend in a fabulous...

Liked: We loved the accommodation as we were out in the lodges which meant we had the use of a little lounge area for the group. Staff were very friendly, helpful (booking taxis etc) and informative. The use of the spa and gym facilities was really good too, specially if you arrive earlier than check in time.
Disliked: On our second morning we went down for breakfast (pre-booked) and we were sat at two seperate tables meaning our group was split. We just pushed tables together however had thought we would be sat together as a group of 6 like we were the first morning. Also we were served moulded toast second morning too! The manager was quick to apologise and offered fresh toast however we had already eaten some by then.We were disappointed that we could only use the spa facilities until 11am check out. Other hotels we have stayed in allow you to use them after check out. The sauna was out of commission and there was no jacuzzi however the thermal warm tiled loungers were amazing!

Great location for the attractions...

Liked: Staff are really nice and location is great for the Kelpies and Falkirk Wheel.
Disliked: My room had been freshly painted the day before and the room smelled overwhelmingly of paint and solvent. The room should not have been allocated until it was properly dry. I would have given a better review but for this.
