Liked: Good location nice room
Disliked: Breakfast was not great… buffet style but with a server reminiscent of school meal time 1 bacon, 1 sausage ( looked undercooked no colour) etc. £4 for a cappuccino coffee which 1/3 was in the saucer on arrival and the balance tasted awful. We fed back at the time and the coffee was removed from the bill. But’ not a great customer experience

Liked: Room size and layout is good. The pool was good. The sauna was ok. The staff were friendly and helpful.To be fair I felt their target audience is golfing parties of men focused on the greens and a few beers afterwards.
Disliked: The hotel looked tired and sparse. Room 205. The En-suite was poor, damp patch above the shower cubicle, corrosion on shower fittings including the shower frame bottom. Breakfast major disappointment for £18 per head, full English rationed out by staff (e.g. 1 piece of bacon, sausage and fried egg). Ladies showers in the Spa were dirty, the steam room was scalding hot, locals told us the steam room is either too hot or not hot enough and has been like that for years. We did not eat in the restaurant for fear of further disappointment.

Disappointing

Liked: The location was ideal, as we were attending a wedding in the nearby village, so we thought we would enjoy the luxury that we have always enjoyed with MacDonald hotels, but it wasn't the case for this one.
Disliked: The whole experience was disappointing; the hotel looked tired and the room needed TLC (regrouting, a good cleaning of the bathroom tiles, a big chunk of tartar deposit on the bath tap, seals around the plugholes in the bath, shower and sink were engrained with dirt and was not attractive. There were no plug sockets by the bed and not enough in the room.

Liked: Really comfy bed and lovely room, nice views
Disliked: The breakfast was so overpriced for what it was, £24 for a pretty basic buffet that was averagely cooked, coffee wasn’t the best, breakfast muffin was turning stale.
