I’ll be back, ideal for...

Liked: Walking distance from train station. Very comfortable bed and pillows with crisp cotton bedding. Lovely fluffy towels. Room could do with a thorough clean but acceptable. Very friendly staff from soft play to life guards, Sam and Ollie in the play area with lots on in the Easter holidays. My grandchildren didn’t want to leave the complex so we made the most of everything on site. Pool with wave machine was great fun, disco/ quiz nights with good deejay,outdoor play park with bike hire and grass sledging. Lovely breakfast with good choice for all tastes and even gluten free. Will return again
Disliked: Not being told enough about facilities when checking in ( a map and timetable was provided) Dirty under bed. Hard to get choice of meal time for restaurant if don’t book soon enough

Fun place to stay with...

Liked: Excellent location in Aviemore. Really great facilities for young children - we loved the soft play! Staff were friendly and helpful. Really nice pizzas in the restaurant. We’d definitely go back.
Disliked: The rooms and corridors are a little tired. The pool was quite cold. Expensive drinks in the bar.

Liked: Good choice for breakfast. Pool was excellent for kids.
Disliked: No bottled water in room. Small fridge in room would have been good.

Superb

Liked: I was with six family members in three generations. The grandchildren were well looked after. Lots for them to do.

Exceeded expectations - go Highland...

Liked: Glad we were at the Highland Hotel. Reception staff lovely. Room good size and standard. Right next to pool - brilliant for kids. Saw others having less good experience at the McDonald Aviemore Hotel.
Disliked: Had to go round the 3 hotels on complex before finding right one. Saw some guests having hard time at check in - had family with additional needs and I’m sure they didn’t need the hassle. Staff a bit grumpy to them. My experience was good but sad to see that.

Exceeded expectations after reading some...

Liked: Great location, lots to do on site for kids. Staff were all really lovely & friendly in every aspect of the resort. Nice big comfy bed, clean room.
Disliked: Lift out of order, luckily we were first floor for when we had our cases.
