Macdonald Burlington Hotel

We stayed at the hotel for 2 nights as we wanted to visit Birmingham as well as attend the show at the Forum. We chose this hotel because of it's location. The facilities were adequate. Unfortunately, we had to use the service lift as the customer lift was out of order. There were enough choices for breakfast, which was included. There was no air conditioning in our room but they provided us with a fan. The staff were helpful and polite. We would stay there again.

Liked: The location of the hotel was perfect.
Disliked: There was no allocated parking for the hotel.

Liked: Breakfast was fantastic room and service from staff was phenomenal, Adam on the front desk when we had a problem sorted it out straight away I cannot speak any irw highly of the service he provided.
Disliked: Breakfast more choices/options in the hot side, Bit of personal one but the elevator is terrifying and more water in the rooms

Good

Liked: I picked the hotel because of an early train ride the next morning. Location couldn't have been better. It's also ideal for a quick visit to the city, with all necessary services in the vicinity. Staff was very friendly. The old style of the hotel is lovely in the common areas (less so in the room).
Disliked: The mattress was really bad, it definitely needs replacement. Although I enjoyed the style of the hotel in the common areas, the room could really use some modernisation.The AC/ventilation system was very noisy.

Perfect location especially for train...

Liked: Just across the road from New Street station and also only 5 mins walk away from Moor Street station, so perfect for those who travel by trains. Will already by hitting the main high street New Street in seconds. Staff is friendly. Single room is available so it's perfect for solo traveller.
Disliked: The interior is bit outdated but the room comes in decent enough size as a single room.
