Modern and newly renovated, the Millennium Downtown New York is perfectly located in the heart of Lower Manhattan. Just steps from the WTC Oculus and a web of subway connections, this sleek, high-rise hotel offers stunning skyline views, easy transit access, and a comfortable, upscale vibe that suits both city explorers and music lovers alike. Rooms come equipped with flat-screen TVs, coffee makers, and some even offer incredible views of the Hudson River, Brooklyn Bridge, or Freedom Tower.

Why Concert-goers love it

This hotel is a dream base for music fans heading to shows in Manhattan or Brooklyn. You're just a short subway ride from major venues, and with several lines right outside your door, getting back post-show is a breeze—even late at night. The hotel is lively but not loud, offering the right mix of energy and peace. Check-in starts at 4:00 PM, giving you time to settle in, and you can enjoy a relaxed morning with an 11:00 AM checkout—ideal after a night of music and city lights.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking for a central location with hangout spots nearby
- Solo travelers catching a big show and wanting reliable transit access
- Couples turning a concert into a full NYC weekend
- Fans needing a calm space to wind down after the encore
- Budget-conscious travelers seeking value in a prime location

Food and Drink Options

Fuel up or wind down at Liquid Assets, the hotel’s lobby bar, open nightly with cocktails and live music on Thursdays. A Grab & Go breakfast is available daily from 6:00 AM to 11:00 AM—perfect for those who sleep in after a late show. While there's no full-service restaurant on-site, you're surrounded by walkable eateries serving everything from late-night pizza to upscale bites. Room service isn't 24/7, but you'll find plenty nearby to satisfy those midnight cravings.

Nightlife Options

Start your night with a drink at the hotel bar, especially on Thursdays when live music sets the tone. From there, you’re a quick ride or stroll to some of NYC’s best downtown bars, rooftop lounges, and speakeasies. Whether you're into low-key wine bars or high-energy dance spots, the Lower Manhattan scene has you covered.

What People Say

Guests love the unbeatable location, especially for exploring and getting to/from events. Many highlight the gorgeous views from higher floors, the clean, comfortable rooms, and the friendly staff. The proximity to transit and major attractions like the One World Observatory earns consistent praise, making it an easy pick for concert-goers who want both convenience and comfort.

Areas for Improvement

Some reviewers note that the elevators can be a bit slow during peak times, and while the hotel is updated, a few common areas still show signs of age. If you're expecting luxury-level bells and whistles, this is more about function and location than frills—but it delivers where it counts.

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers who want easy access to NYC venues, great views, and a relaxing place to crash, Millennium Downtown New York hits the right notes.

Amazing & great location

Liked: We stayed 11 nights as a family of three in a junior suite on the 30th floor—an experience in itself. Coming back in the evening to sunsets over the city and waking up with the sun rising over the skyline was simply unforgettable. The suite gave us plenty of space, with a large bathroom, and the view was incredible: overlooking the Freedom Tower, the Hudson River, and on the other side Tribeca. The staff was impressively quick to respond, even to three or four requests right after our arrival (extra pillows, extra towels, or late morning cleaning). We were honestly surprised by the rate we got and the overall quality of the hotel, which doesn’t have a restaurant or a breakfast area, but if you want, they’ll arrange it and deliver it straight to your room. The reception is located on the 3rd floor (they’re currently renovating the first three floors, which will be ready soon), but it didn’t cause any inconvenience at all.The only thing we didn’t like was the deposit required at check-in: we paid $600, and they don’t return it at check-out but only after 30 days. We didn’t know this, and it’s something to always keep in mind when traveling in the United States.I highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return, especially for the value for money—I couldn’t find anything better in the months leading up to our stay. Plus, the location is absolutely outstanding.Highly recommended.

Liked: It's a beautiful hotel with an excellent location. The subway is nearby, and you can even walk a short distance to get to your destination. I went with my family, and our room had an incredible view. The service and customer service were excellent. I will definitely come back again!
Disliked: I have nothing bad to say or that I disliked.

Exceptional

Liked: Location and views of the city were nice.
Disliked: Some of the security staff could have been a little nicer instead of glaring at us in passing. But some were very pleasant.
