Liked: Friendly staff, very reasonably priced, very comfortable beds.
Disliked: Old carpeting, drains that don’t drain. A bit lacking in modernizing, a little lacking on maintenance

Liked: Staff was great. Friendly and very helpful. Free parking in adjacent garage. Rooms very reasonably priced.

Short stop overnight but we...

Liked: The building is an ornate old style building. Lobby / reception was great. It is dated, but this is part of the charm with these hotels. It was lovely and comfortable with nearby free parking. If you want a "state of the art" building with all modern amenities then you don't book into The Grand in any town as these tend to be of a certain age. The staff were helpful and chatty and facilities to get a bite to eat, were just down the road. A short walk, lovely on a nice day.
Disliked: Shower took a bit of fighting to get to work. OK for me but if you were a little older and not as brutal, then it may of been difficult to get switched onto the shower head. Didn't bother me , but a little bit of maintenance would be of benefit.

Cheap Stay TBH

Liked: I like how it was close to where I was trying to be. Also liked how nice and pleasant the staff was
Disliked: Bathroom was broken, tub didn’t work, toilet didn’t work and sink didn’t work. If you left the sink on too long, the bathtub would start filling up from the drain first. The toilet wouldn’t flush and when we contacted front desk, they just gave us a plunger
