Very,very, nice.

Liked: We have been before so new what to expect, not disappointed. We took our dog this time she enjoyed it everything was there for her bowls treats towels you need to take food. They love dogs.
Disliked: The only thing is the car park isn’t very big but there isn’t anything they can do about it, you just have to be careful.

Apart from the above and...

Liked: Location was superb, certainly worth paying for a partial sea view. Excellent that the dinner and breakfast menus are changed daily, this was above and beyond and welcomed as we stayed for 2 nights. I must say having been to Northcote and The Black Swan both Michelin starred establishments, who did not change their menus and unfortunately we had to have a ‘fixed’ menu. Evening meals served on warmed plates. We believe our feedback will taken onboard by the owner, who we saw at the hotel, who also seems so passionate about his business, as he clearly has a hands on approach, in fact there was a delivery of logs for the fire, which was dumped by the delivery driver at the entrance to the hotel, within minutes the owner changed his smart business jacket to a jacket and started to move (probably a tonne of fire wood), with a wheelbarrow. Superb! All of the staff were friendly and appeared to enjoy working at The Luggers! This clearly comes from the top.
Disliked: My breakfast was cold, in the fact that the sausage cold, clearly pre cooked but not warmed up completely, black and white pudding were not completely cooked, therefore, unable to eat as well as being served on a cold plate. Second breakfast ordered was Eggs Benedict stated it would be delivered with ham, unfortunately it was delivered with bacon, hollandaise sauce tasteless, muffin soggy, (from poached eggs that had not had the water drained off before putting on the muffin), also served on a cold plate.

Liked: Room was cosy and clean with good view of the sea. Enjoyed a relaxing drink in the lounge, where there was a log burning stove which was welcome on a chilly day. Meals were very good and all the staff friendly.
Disliked: I was expecting a room within the hotel, so was rather disappointed when we were taken to our room in the Old Boat House. It is situated very close to the hotel, but down several steps which are not easy if you have any problem with mobility. This is not advised in the hotel information.

Will definitely return.

Liked: A magical location, sea views, comfortable well appointed room, lovely friendly staff, excellent food.
Disliked: Some have commented on narrow lanes and tight car park. We had no trouble in our family sized estate. Perhaps keep in mind It is an ancient fishing village in Cornwall and smallness is part of the charm.

Expensive, but absolutely worth it!

Liked: This is a really lovely hotel set right on the edge of the water in this spectacular narrow harbour hemmed in by rocky cliffs. At its heart is an old inn but as it stands today this is a really luxurious place, reminding me of a French hotel with the warmth of the welcome, extensive accommodation, and first class but relaxed restaurant. My friend and I had rooms in two annexed buildings, and we enjoyed an excellent lunch on arrival, a brilliant dinner that night, and a very hearty breakfast the following morning to fuel our walking holiday. The food is really very good indeed, and the whole ground floor is set up with a comfy lounge (no public bar and no draught beer), and a succession of rooms for dining in, all with spectacular views of the sea - pretty rough and stormy on the occasion of our stay. The staff are exceptional! Relaxed, welcoming and accommodating, and the ambiance is really very comfortable, a cut above most places I have stayed in this country. The rooms were spacious, beds comfortable with fresh fruit, tea and (real) coffee making, fresh milk in a small fridge, and everything else you could possibly want for a nice stay with the sound of the sea just outside the window. The rooms are very reasonably priced in terms of quality, welcome, and facilities. It's really very nice indeed.
Disliked: The restaurant is fairly expensive, but worth it!
