LSE Rosebery Hall

Great stay. Very central.

Liked: Great stay with a fab view to st Paul's cathedral. The staff were super friendly at reception. I felt like I had the floor to myself most days. Never queued for the shared shower / toilets. A lift meant i could easily get up to my room on level 6. Breakfast is delicious with very friendly staff. The signs for the toaster need to be simplified though. I'm not going to read an essay about what can and can't go in the toaster, especially first thing in the morning before my morning coffee. The coffee wasn't nice, but I traveled with my own and there's a kettle in the kitchenette on each floor. The fridge and microwave are also helpful. The communal lounge is a nice place to hang out and relax, and play pool or ping pong if travelling with others. Fabulous location opposite Sadlers Well theatre.
Disliked: Sometimes someone would lock the kitchen but my room key opened it. The carpets are a bit scratchy.

Small, Sweet and Sumptuous

Liked: This little gem of a location offers a clean room (with sink), in walking distance of a great part of town with plenty of small boutiques and adorable looking cafés and restaurants. However, the breakfast is so good at this Rosebery Hall don’t expect to be hungry until the afternoon!

Liked: I have stayed several times, I think it is a good idea to have breakfast from 7.30 at weekends as well as weekdays,
Disliked: Just a small point, the key cards should be coloured other than white as they can be hard to find on white topped desks in the bedrooms.

Liked: Amazing value for central London in August. Pleasant location minutes from Sadlers Wells Theatre. Great bus routes to Victoria and Waterloo, taking you past many landmarks. Entry system felt secure. Excellent plentiful breakfast included in the price. Relatively quiet at night, but just down the road from bars and restaurants in Angel. A small Sainsbury's a couple of minutes walk through a small park.
Disliked: I fully expected this, so not a 'dislike' but for clarity this is student accommodation available out of term times. Rooms are small and basic - no TV, hairdryer, trousers press (!), tea and coffee tray. There is a shared toilet/shower down the corridor (showers are very basic, no rainforest waterfall claims made!) There is access to a kitchen with a microwave/kettle/hob, but there were not plates or cutlery so I struggled to eat the ready meal I bought.

Very nice alternative from hotel...

Liked: Great for a budget trip. Staff are nice and welcoming. The building is well secured. Individual room is a plus for the price, as usually you will need to cramp with many other people in a room at hostel with just slightly lower cost. They also responded with my room request which is very nice. If come back, would definitely try to stay here again.
Disliked: No too much, probably the room is quite warm and I wish there were individual control on heater. The shower room sits together with toilet so there was smell at some points.

Really good for a short...

Liked: Very good breakfast - wide range of options and excellent value. Very central location, clean room, great to have access to a shared kitchen and laundry as well. 24x7 reception desk was very helpful and provided me with an extra pillow and loaned me a hairdryer which was appreciated!
Disliked: Bed was a little hard but not bad.

Disliked: Half of showers were out of service, the rest had problem with hot water
