A beautiful antique house

Liked: The house is graciously prepared, and the management was very helpful about our late arrival. Breakfast was lovely.
Disliked: It's obviously a,very old house, with period furnishings. It was less comfortable than I expected, while still beautifully done. Guests should ascertain whether they can easily manage steep stairs and sleep on a very firm mattress.

Liked: Romantic setting, delicious breakfast, and private. Little things were great, like the bath robe provided, good water pressure, extra blankets, ambiance of music, desk with ice bucket/glasses and book of nearby restaurants/things to do. Better yet, the private entrance! Hope to return soon!
Disliked: Nothing negative. Everything was great!

Liked: Ambiance. Outdoors.
Disliked: Need a shelf in the bathroom.Cushions on the feet of the dining room chairs. At 11 at night when someone decided to sit there and pull back the chair, it woke us up due to the proximity of our room. Then after a while they shoved the chair back in and the noise woke us up.

Liked: Loved all of the rooms and the decor.
Disliked: Would have liked a shower.

Great place to get away...

Liked: The grounds are exceptionally large and beautiful. If you had a stressful time in life, this is the place to relax, read and reflect. Great place also for family. The 3 sitting rooms on the first floor have comfy chairs and couches, loads of books on the shelf, travel and places of interest brochures and loads of games (board & card) games to play.Coffee is available 24/7. The proprietors are excellent.
Disliked: The weather but they had no control over that. But it really didn’t make a difference.
