Horrendous and stressful!
Liked: Staff were friendly
Disliked: Booked in on edge of Hyde park due to wife’s disability. Got to the hotel to be told it’s been closed and have another hotel - which was filthy and a 30 minute walk away!!

Cancelled hotel
Liked: Nothing as we did not get to stay in the hotel.
Disliked: Nothing as we did not get to stay in the hotel. Arrived to be told they had moved us to another hotel in a different vicinity to what we had booked. We had no confirmation of this at all from booking.com and I find this unacceptable due to us having a disabled person with us, which was why we booked the hotel in the first place back in oct 22, as it was very close to Hyde Park and had a disabled parking space for us. We were moved to a hotel in maida Vale which was a taxi ride to our destination point with a disabled person. Nice enough hotel but not in the location we had wanted and paid for. Very disappointed I booking.com for not handling the situation better.

DO NOT STOP HERE-some kind...
Liked: Nothing-DO NOT STOP HERE!
Disliked: We were directed to a completely different hotel when we turned up- DO NOT BOOK THIS HOTEL. The man wo appeared out the side door said the hotel had been shut since 2018, so all gust were directed to Warwick Avenue and the Colonnade Hotel-absolutely awful experience (dodgy!) AVOID have stopped at the hotel we actually booked! Colonnade Hotel was dirty, we only got one large towel between us and the lift didn't work.

This hotel was completely unacceptable...
Liked: I didn’t like anything. We were originally booked into the London Elizabeth, but got changed to The Colonnade due to flooding. The Colonnade was a completely unsuitable hotel and was not what we expected. It was not worth the money that we paid and I was completely dissatisfied with the accommodation. I took video footage of our complaints and would like to know how I can submit this and enter into discussions about a partial refund. Thank you for your attention to this and I look forward to hearing from you in the near future.
Disliked: See above. I didn’t like anything about The Colonnade Hotel.

Disliked: Without any pre advice we were forced to change hotel, the Caledonian Hotel, because Elisabeth Hotel was closed for repair. This latter hotel left much to be desired and definitely NOT up to standard as regards cleanliness and lack of services, such as extremely old lift which was sometimes out of order or not reaching our level. It is an old hotel that needs a good refurbishment.

Worst place on earth
Liked: Nothing
Disliked: We were told that the London Elizabeth Hotel had closed down following and “act of God” where their basement got flooded and their electrics had sizzled. We were taken to the Colonnade Hotel, which is owned by the same owners as the London Elizabeth. This hotel is a bit further away from the London Elizabeth. We were told that The Colonnade Hotel was a boutique hotel better than the London Elizabeth... well...When we arrived at the hotel, we were told there were 3 bedrooms allocated to us, 2 at the basement and one in the 4th floor. So we decided to check the basement rooms.I was already put out by the communal areas down to the rooms, but we were completely flabbergasted when we saw the state of the basement rooms. The photographs tell part of the story:The rooms were damp and dirtyThe windows were old, cracked and filthyThere view out of the windows were not just an eyesore but a health hazzard. There were exposed cables in the bathroom and the bedroomsThere was a sewerage pipe running through our room. The ceiling light fittings were hanging. There was a hole in the ceiling outside our room with towels stuffed in the holeThe furniture was all scratched and oldThe two mattress frames for our beds were smaller than the actual mattress. We had just one towel per roomThe bathroom was full of mould and tiles were displaced from the wallsTo be honest, there was no end to the list of atrocities in those bedrooms. It was already 8 pm on 21st March and we were debating staying for the night and move the following day, but none of us could stomach lying on those beds (not even fully dressed) or using the bathroom facilities. The lady at the reception took us to see the 4th floor room… and to be honest, it was not much better… on top of that, the lift only went up to floor 2 and then you would have to carry your luggage two floors up through very steep and narrow staircase.
