Loch Long Hotel

Nice stay at Loch Long

Liked: The room was spacious and clean. the breakfast was good and the staff very friendly.
Disliked: The kitchen stopped taking orders for food at 18.00 which we thought was a bit early as it was a rush to get back and get ready to eat.

Liked: Lovely staff and super location.Comfortable and spacious room and spotlessly clean
Disliked: Parking always an issue but we don't mind walking a little further.However adjacent parking facility 24hr charging and had to pay £15 which added to my stay as no room at hotel one .Not the hotels fault but it is going to be a constant issue which could mean I would stay elsewhere in the future

Liked: Nothing much but it was reasonably priced.
Disliked: Went out for the day and came back to the room not being made-up, no fresh towels the cleanliness was to a very low standard.

Nice weekend away

Liked: Room was clean bed comfortable
Disliked: Most of the chairs outside were broken and the lift was broken

Liked: The scenery
Disliked: Check in was 3 o’clock, we were left waiting for 3 1/2 hours, didn’t get in our room till 6.30, we upgraded our room, but was really run down, the pillows were completely flat, the carpet had stains on it. I was actually quite shocked at what I had booked.

Liked: Stunning location at the head of Loch Long with fantastic views of 'The Cobbler'.Very friendly and helpful staff.Very pleasant and comfortable room, dog friendly.

Fine for a night

Liked: Great view, comfortable bed, friendly staff, complimentary drink
Disliked: 2 hour wait to check in as short on staff, no fresh towels in room but didn't notice until 10.30 and then found 3 threadbare towels in the top of the wardrobe but no bath matt, the shower unfortunately leaks at both sides too

Avoid if at all possible

Liked: Location is convenient and jacuzzi a nice benefit but they are the only positives of the entire place
Disliked: Stay was a bad experience from start to finish. Parking was packed and tight with no alternative provided. Long wait at reception before being noticed and were given no information other than our room number. Entire building outdated and dusty, the halls smelled powerfully of weed in the morning. Bitten all night by either bed bugs or midges and left with raised red bumps all over. Room was very warm and only skylight window did not work. No bin or towels in the room. Shower flooded the room as it was angled at the door and could not be changed Noise was awful, there was “entertainment” in the bar that sounded like something from a Benidorm nightmare that went on until almost midnight that could be heard from the second floor.
