like staying with family, lovely...

Liked: exceptionally welcoming and friendly. I booked last minute for work - Steve called me when I booked to see if I wanted to dine when I arrived - as someone that travels a lot and is typically driving, it was really useful and nice touch.Marius cooked a fantastic lamb shank and couldn’t have been more accommodating throughout! Sharon was another lovely happy face…. everyone knew my name, it was like staying with family and all genuinely lovely people.exceptional value!

Liked: Very nice breakfast, you can choose what would you like to eat by talking with a chef, a menu option for breakfast would be nice as well, lovely hosts, we had great chats, bed was really comfy.

Nice relaxed hotel.

Liked: Nice relaxed atmosphere, comfortable good sized rooms and great host. Plenty of parking in a very quiet area.

Disliked: The Booking.com description didn't make it clear that it was a separate/ private bathroom rather than ensuite. Whilst the facilities and bathroom were very good, we didn't expect to have to get dressed in order to walk past the other rooms to get to the bathroom - particularly during the night. A clearer description would be appreciated

Ok hotel but definitely not...

Liked: It looks lovely from the outside. Staff were communicative ahead of & during the booking, despite not seeing them in person
Disliked: It wasn’t made clear that the bathroom would be separate to the room (I.e. require me to go into the corridor & take a key, every time I wanted to use it.) The double bed was actually 2 singles pushed together. The room & bathroom both required maintenance (dodgy tap, missing loo roll holder, unfinished appearance where work has been done) & both needed a good clean- there were cobwebs, dust, the windows were dirty, there were hairs & dead insects on the bathroom units. Not the hotel’s fault but useful to know if you’re a light sleeper: there’s machinery nearby that seems to be operated for the most part throughout the night - it sounds like there are large rocks in a cement mixer, going round & round!
