Ok hotel but definitely not...

Liked: It looks lovely from the outside. Staff were communicative ahead of & during the booking, despite not seeing them in person
Disliked: It wasn’t made clear that the bathroom would be separate to the room (I.e. require me to go into the corridor & take a key, every time I wanted to use it.) The double bed was actually 2 singles pushed together. The room & bathroom both required maintenance (dodgy tap, missing loo roll holder, unfinished appearance where work has been done) & both needed a good clean- there were cobwebs, dust, the windows were dirty, there were hairs & dead insects on the bathroom units. Not the hotel’s fault but useful to know if you’re a light sleeper: there’s machinery nearby that seems to be operated for the most part throughout the night - it sounds like there are large rocks in a cement mixer, going round & round!

Excellent place to stop that...

Liked: The overall stay was excellent and Steve the Owner and Marius the Chef were great. The place created a friendly atmosphere that I have already recommended to colleagues.
Disliked: We could not get a signal on the TV in the room but it was not overly important as we were not there to watch TV.

Exceptional

Liked: Fantastic place to stay to relax in peace and quiet. I was made to feel very welcome and Steve went above and beyond to make my stay as enjoyable as possible. The food was excellent, I would highly recommend staying here if you want to relax

Liked: Marius the Chef was absolutely first class and his dishes to die for! Mouth watering, appetising, and delicious!
