Convenient stay. Lovely property.

Liked: Our host, Gully, was fantastic. Quick to respond to requests and offer great suggestions for dinner and breakfast. Great location. The apartment had everything, felt secure with a lovely view of the Mississippi. The room was comfortable and spacious. No noise came up from the Mexican restaurant one floor below.
Disliked: First, the trains…well..really the locomotive and the engineer tooting the horn as a long, long train went by nearby. Multiply trains ran by into the night. The bedroom door did block the sound, however, I’d recommend ear plugs. Second, (and this is me as my husband had no issue) the pillows were firm in the extreme. The next morning, and for two days, my neck was stiff and pained. This is a subjective opinion.

Quick getaway

Liked: The location was fantastic! it was literally steps from the downtown area, and a block away from the Mark Twain home, Becky Thatcher's home, etc.
Disliked: The nearby train sounds were sometimes distracting, but it didn't cause any real problems. There was quite a bit of construction in the area which made it more difficult to get around, but that's not the fault of the owners. That should get better soon.

Liked: The jacuzzi tub was so awesome!! The bed was super comfy!! I loved the view of the river. The property owner was very considerate to provide a smoking area on the upstairs balcony so I didn’t have to go up and down the stairs.
Disliked: The room is not soundproofed. I could hear the couple next door talking, just not what they were saying. They did keep the noise down after midnight.

Liked: Loved the Jacuzzi suite!
Disliked: In the middle of the night the furnace came on. The air blasted right on the bed, it gave me a temporary scare:)

Liked: Location was wonderful - we could walk to everywhere we wanted to go .. the view of the river was the highlight of the stay ..
Disliked: I wish the bedroom and living room were swapped — the key to this location is the view of the river — we wish the bed was located by the window - it would also help with the noise issues we had from the hallway area ——
