Library Hotel

The Library was a quaint hotel in a convenient location. Rooms were comfortable; the staff was super friendly and helpful and the breakfasts, snacks and wine reception were wonderful. A real homey feel.

Liked: Friendly staff; great breakfast; snacks and wine and cheese reception daily.

Disliked: Heating didn’t work. Had to ask for an electric heater

Liked: Very good location in Midtown. I like that it was near the NY public Library which is fantastisk. Nice staff. The Reading room on the second floor was marvellous. Cozy rooftop bar. Clean and nice room.
Disliked: It’s expensive. And I also think that 700$ for a night should include breakfast, but we ate bananas in the Reading room.

Liked: This hotel is always a dream. It is clean, safe, and the staff cannot be beat. It is the only place I stay in NYC!

Not great

Liked: Location. Bed was comfortable.
Disliked: Could not change TV channels. Shower pressure was low, because half the water flowed out of the faucet instead of thru the shower. Room was small, not dark enough and windows were not soundproofed - I slept terribly.

Exceptional

Disliked: The first room (602) was too small for two people with luggage. Once we were moved to a larger room (605) we had a great stay.

Superb attention to every detail

Liked: EVERYTHING!! This will be my new place to stay in NYC. The room, the location, staff, restaurant, the bar. All of it. The best!
Disliked: It was all positively sublime.
