Would be nice to have a business center/PC/printer available. Back of the building was very quiet. Slept in so we missed the breakfast. Good price for NYC.
Liked: Extremely clean; comfortable bed.
Disliked: Very little space to maneuver in room; need more shelf space in bathroom; temperature a bit long to adjust.

Exceptional
Liked: Very clean, comfortable and modern. Big room and bathroom. Good location for Downtown and Uptown. Metro 28th Street 3 minutes away.
Disliked: A bit expensive but this is NY so expected.

One shouldn't have to stay...
Liked: The staff were friendly and very helpful. Bed was comfortable.
Disliked: Very small room, even for one described as 'cozy'. No refrigerator in the room, heating was worked into the room with uncovered cabling. Breakfast was very basic - croissants and muffins and served in the already small reception. It might be important to somehow provide information to manage expectations.

Deceptive and unpleasant
Liked: Nothing.
Disliked: Rooms were dark and uncomfortable. The true room details were not disclosed in room descriptions prior to booking. I booked an "accessible cozy queen room" expecting it to be small - but not in the basement level. There was no disclosure anywhere that this room type was in the floor below the main reception area and I would never have booked this had it been disclosed. The basement area also had a musty smell. The front desk referred to the room as being in the "garden level - I guess hanging plastic greenery on the walls makes it a garden (?). The entire space was creepy. When I complained they told me the hotel was sold out but they moved me to a second floor room - that was dark, tired and dreary. The only window looked out on mechanicals and provided no light. The second floor also smelled - like chemicals covered up with air freshener. When I mentioned this to the front desk they said they were "under construction" - also never disclosed at booking. The Hotel Manager was not present at the facility to discuss the issues and did not return message left for him. Never again will I stay here and never again will I use booking.com
