The Spotlight on Leonardo Royal Hotel Birmingham

Concert Nights Made Easy at Leonardo Royal Hotel Birmingham

Modern and spacious, the Leonardo Royal Hotel Birmingham (formerly Jurys Inn) is a stylish base for music lovers exploring the heart of Birmingham. Located right on bustling Broad Street, it's just a short walk to top venues like the International Convention Centre and Arena Birmingham. Inside, you'll find a sleek, welcoming vibe with large rooms, comfy Dream beds, and all the essentials for a fun weekend in the city.

Why Concert-goers love it

The hotel’s location is a major win — just steps from Arena Birmingham and other key venues, meaning no need for cabs or long walks after the show. Rooms are surprisingly quiet given the central location, thanks to good soundproofing. With 24-hour reception, flexible check-in from 14:00 and a generous check-out at 12:00, it's easy to work around late-night gigs. Plus, Broad Street is packed with post-show food and drink options.

Who this Hotel is great for

  • Groups of friends who want to be in the buzz of the city
  • Solo travelers ticking off a dream artist
  • Couples planning a music-filled weekend getaway
  • Fans seeking a quieter space to relax post-show
  • Budget-conscious music lovers who want value without compromising location

Food and Drink Options

The hotel offers a restaurant serving dinner and a coffee bar for quick bites. The bar has a casual lunch and snack menu throughout the day — ideal for a pre-show fuel-up or post-concert nibble. If you're in after a late night, there’s 24/7 reception and nearby eateries are open late. Breakfast is available in the morning, even if you’ve had a slow start.

Nightlife Options

You’re right on Broad Street, one of Birmingham’s liveliest nightlife strips. Dozens of bars, pubs, and clubs are within walking distance. Whether you want a chilled pint or to keep dancing after the encore, it’s all nearby. The hotel bar itself is a laid-back spot for a nightcap.

What People Say

Guests love the location for concerts and events, praising how easy it is to walk back after a show. Reviews highlight the spacious rooms, comfy beds, and friendly staff. Many note it’s surprisingly quiet for being in the city center, and that the value for money is excellent.

Areas for Improvement

Some guests mention the decor is a bit dated in places, though everything is clean and functional. Parking can be a bit tight during busy weekends, and the elevators can get slow when there's an event rush — so factor in a few extra minutes.

The Bottom Line

If you're heading to a show in Birmingham and want a comfortable, central hotel that puts venues, bars, and late-night eats within easy reach, Leonardo Royal Hotel Birmingham hits all the right notes.

The staff at reception were very helpful with a warm welcome. The room was spotless with plenty of space in the shower which was nice and hot. Great coffee making facilities and a complimentary bottle of water - it is well situated for the Utilita 5 minutes away. I would recommend it to anyone.

Liked: The Room.
Disliked: Breakfast coffee machine.
