Lovely hotel, super quiet

Disliked: Beds comfortable but starting to show their age.

It was a comfortable stay...
Liked: Location is great! Close to Fosse Park, which is a lovely shopping outlet with a varied choice of restaurants. Just a short drive to the Highcross Shopping Centre and the Golden Mile. Car park at the hotel is convenient and budget friendly.
Disliked: The air con in the room was a bit temperamental.

Poor treatment of guests
Liked: Good for the motorway. Good parking facility. Nice access to shopping at Fosse Park and quick to get into the city.
Disliked: We arrived at Midday to organise our pre booked room selection, and guarantee no mess ups for our well pre-organised reunion weekend. One separate room with 2 double beds and adjoining double room with a room with another room with 2 double beds. In addition to this early arrival before our party off site, I had also previously organised this room requirement by email and phone call to be absolutely sure that the rooms joined. This was done 2 weeks in advance of our arrival. As the rooms were not ready at midday we chatted to the receptionist who managed to give us one room up front and assured us that all would be 'as planned' on our return. This did not happen. We ended up with rooms all over the place, one of which was a disabled room, unpleasant for the guest as it was sparse with low sinks, and emergency pulls etc (equipped for a disabled person). When I asked in the morning why this room allocation had happened I was simply told that a staff member later in the day had made a mistake by moving things .... and they seemed to think this reasoning was a good enough. I know that notes can be added to the system and that staff should be trained well enough to abide by them. A shrug of the shoulders is a woeful and dismissive way to treat your guests. Shameful.
