Disliked: Restaurant service was dreadful. Previous occupants rubbish left outside my room door from my arrival @ 4.30PMand was only cleared overnight

Disliked: Lounge areas not clean, floors in restaurant filthy. No windows in room that open, air conditioning doesn’t work-the rooms were so hot prevented sleep. Staff didn’t have a clue and did not call back to update.

Liked: Welcome was a bit flat and unfriendly.Room fine - in fact very good. Room service very good. Breakfast very good - chap who cooked me poached eggs was extremely nice. In fact, all staff I met (bar, breakfast) were very good, except reception, where things were a bit miserable.
Disliked: Come on — after charging £241 for one night, on cheap land beside the motorway, do you really have to charge an extra £7 for parking? It's a bit mean-spirited.Reception staff need cheering up.Landscaping outside the hotel – basically a car park, & noise from the nearby M1. Bit of green space and a tree or two wouldn't go amiss....And the stink of many smokers surrounding the main entrance was pretty unpleasant.

It’s a Marriott, it’s going...

Liked: It’s a Marriott, a very nice new Marriott. So everything that’s good about this chain is here. Very little negatives. Staff, friendly. Room, good. Location, perfect for shops, motorway and access to the city. Didn’t try the restaurant or any food as I was in and out. Check in was simple bed comfy and check out was quick the following morning.
Disliked: Tiny bar. And the grand seating area in reception feels a bit like an airport lounge, very open and soulless. But I wasn’t there for that.
