Delightful stay in a charming...

Liked: This charming old residence had plenty of electrical outlets and an A/C in the room. The wifi was decent. The pillows, mattress, and sheets were clean and comfortable. The shared kitchen was functional. The shower water was hot and the front door access was secure. The staff is friendly and accommodating.
Disliked: There is no TV, so bring your laptop. There are shared bathrooms, so plan extra time.

Looking for an affordable place...

Liked: Location is close to places I wanted to visit
Disliked: Room doesn't have its own air conditioning

The facilities are well maintained...

Liked: The facilities are really well maintained and secure. The location couldn’t be better.
Disliked: I was there for 10 days and even though the room was clean when we get there, I think the rooms could be cleaned during the stay, for they get really dusty cause the windows are not properly sealed and dust takes over the room.Also, we only got a sheet and a very thin blanket. It would have been nice to have a proper comfortable duvet

Fair Enough for the Price

Liked: The stay was fair for the price. The location is excellent—just a 20-minute walk to Times Square, with everything you need nearby. The internet connection was reliable, which was a big plus. Overall, it’s probably the best option you can find at this price. Great value for the money!
Disliked: the noise. It was quite loud, and you could hear everything happening outside

Larmartine is great. Stay exceeded...

Liked: Staff was great (especially Janine!). Facilities were clean. Location was fantastic. Building was historic and charming. Price can't be beat!
Disliked: One of the residents on my floor took a lot of showers and dripped water all over the bathroom. Seems easy enough to me to drive yourself off by the shower stall.

Good

A learning opportunity in listening...

Liked: This place is not a good option. Beds, filthy. Rooms, filthy. Bathrooms, filthy. Staff, non-responsive. Ownership, dishonest and disreputable-- they simply do not run a real business. Avoid this place at all costs.
Disliked: There are no redeeming qualities to this hostel.

Practical option for a budget...

Liked: Good location, it's walkable distance to Chelsea Market and Times Square area. Train stations are also accessible. I liked that it's not too far from NJ transit so it's easy to travel back to airports. The pantry availability was also helpful.
Disliked: Awful when you have luggage and you're staying at higher floors since stairs were narrow and steep. Bathroom can be better, it's actually neat but there's a guest who left his underpants under the sink and it was there for a couple days.

Enjoyable Stay 7th

Liked: Exceptionally convenient location. Room size and hotel location was great for the price. The shared bathrooms were very clean as well as the kitchens. Staff were very helpful in keeping our luggage on the day of check in.
Disliked: Shower curtains were too short, allowing water to get on bathroom floors. I wish we had been provided with a bath mat and hand towels in the bathroom.
