Underwhelmed

Liked: The resort has large lounge areas inside and outside. Walking distance to the Village and restaurants. Family friendly. A pool and lake access. A nice restaurant and bar on-site. Good customer service by the staff.
Disliked: The hotel is deteriorating outside, and maintenance is badly needed. Carpeting inside the room was dirty, and the room smelled musty. The sliding glass door in the room is old and dirty. The drapes and furniture in the room is old and outdated. There is no exhaust fan in the bathroom. There were not enough lounge chairs, umbrellas, or small tables outside near the pool and upper deck areas to accommodate all the guests. The outdoor music was blaring in the early hours of the morning and kept waking us up. The outside music is so unnecessary. The food in the on-site restaurant was very good but very expensive. We couldn't eat outside on the deck to enjoy the beautiful scenery because of private events all weekend. Pets should not be allowed to stay in the hotel.
