La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Austin Capitol

Staff was VERY friendly and helpful. Our experience was pretty good. The room was a little expensive but it is Austin and it was a weekend. I would do it again.

Liked: Please be careful where you book. Hotel parking here costs as much as other parking downtown. $40 a day. It's cheapest place you can book closest to Capitol Hill.
Disliked: Simply being cheap is not enough for me, I'm afraid. I would rather drive into downtown and next time coming from a nicer hotel with free parking at the same cost. This building was cracked along the outside, and other things made it feel like it would collapse one day. They were renovating the 2nd floor, though.This place reminds me of when I was struggling. I'm not going to travel unless I have money to travel comfortably. This place reminds me of that statement. This place itself is struggling. Please be careful. The hotel room lobby doors don't lock/are broken. It's a motel, basically, security wise. There were bugs in our first room, but the second one didn't have any. There were mysterious women or men entering rooms in the dead of night. Could be nothing but.. Now, this is perfectly fine if you want to save money and are familiar with these types of things. However, if you want to travel, why not book something nice? You can come here just dont bring your family. Then again, it doesn't feel right to come alone..
