La Quinta Inn & Suites by Wyndham Atlanta Ballpark/Galleria

5 stars. Best lodging place I've been to for a long time.

Liked: Rooms had coffee, microwave and refrigerator. Rare anymore.
Disliked: No restaurant or bar.

Pleasant and helpful staff! Enjoyable stay; pleasant atmosphere; clean hotel and clean room. Conveniently located near SunTrust Park and the Cumberland Mall area. When visiting Atlanta will stay here again!

Disliked: Did not care for the scrambled eggs at breakfast.

Very good

Liked: Very nice, very clean hotel within just a few minutes of The Battery. The room was spacious. I really like the layout. Much different from most hotels. The bed was very comfortable. The pool area looked very nice. The lobby was extremely welcoming. There were many choices available for breakfast. Apparently they also offer shuttle service to and from The Battery. I would highly recommend this location.
Disliked: My only complaints were maintenance issues that took a point off. First, the sink desperately needed Draino or something similar. It took several minutes to drain after using the sink in any way. I mentioned this to the front desk upon leaving and they assured me it would be taken care of. The second is that the brackets holding the shower curtain need to be tightened. They have loosened over time causing the shower rod to droop, which in turn keeps the curtain from remaining closed.

Large Rooms old Hotel

Liked: The room was large. I like that there was a dedicated area for the microwave, coffee bar with an outlet. Very large table/desk.
Disliked: Hotel is very old and not updated and pretty dusty in places that should get some attention. Elevator very slow and a bit scary. Panels coming off. Service provided by the staff was not outstanding. I was disappointed because I requested a high floor away from the elevator way prior to check-in. They could not find those requests and the room given was the opposite of what was requested. Low floor, right by the elevator. The first room that I was placed in did not have a working A/C, the sheets were on the bed on the wrong side, there was no remote, and there was not a diffuser blind on the window. It was only the black out blinds or to have light just the window with no kind of shade. I called down couldn't get anyone on the phone, had to go down. They put me in another room. Would not give me a key for the new room so I could move my things over. Told me to go up and someone would meet me. NOONE EVER CAME. Had to go back down and the desk walked up with me and facilitated the move over. Didn't eat breakfast, they don't have great options for plant-based eaters. it looked basic.

Liked: Location was nice with several great places to eat nearby.
Disliked: Feels like there is no manager on site! Snack area was empty of snacks! Vending machines are empty too! Elevator was not working. Phone to call other rooms or diall out has no dial tone. We chose this location since it had a nice pool... POOL WAS CLOSED FOR NO REASON. We were here for 30 min and knew booking here was a mistake Very disappointed and won't book LaQuinta again.
