Brief and unsatisfactory.

Liked: Check in staff friendly and cooperative - eager to help, but, in retrospect, did not correct the heating problem. Check out staff person polite but answered my comments and dissatisfaction re room heating and plumbing saying in substance, I will tell maintenance however this is an old building.
Disliked: Room heating and plumbing.

Disliked: we stayed in room 237. the bed next to the air conditioner has about a 2 in. dip in the center and the edge support is great so my husband and I rolled downhill into each other all night. this is not anyone's fault as I don't know they would notice it just making the bed. there were 2 metal pieces on our floor that housekeeping missed along with a couple small pieces of food in front of the dresser. I chalked that up to maybe fell out during garbage take out as you could clearly tell the room had been cleaned otherwise. also our door did not shut unless it was dead bolted. you could just push the door open. the reason I am rating this as a 9 though is because the front desk guy was super helpful when I mentioned the door he said he would address it. we were there for state special Olympics basketball and we needed an extra hour to check out and he was more than happy to help. breakfast was great and they did a good job keeping up with all of the basketball kids too. all this being said the staff was great. the property could use an elevator but is currently going thru renovations I think. but the smell of fresh baked cookies in the air makes everything better.

Disliked: Claimed I didn’t have a reservation. Then claimed they only had a king room at a higher price. Told me I needed to make a new reservation through Booking.com. However, unable to do this through app, so I left and found a different hotel in Appleton. Tired and frustrated.

Liked: Good location. Nice staff. Comfortable rooms. Enough parking. Doesn’t smell.
Disliked: Ran out of breakfast, took long to refill. My pillow was folded, seems unused until I unfolded it and the pillowcase was dirty. Had someone’s eye makeup. This was on our first night, so we had not slept in this room yet.
