Liked: Most of the staff was friendly. The place was centrally located.
Disliked: The mattresses were 200 years old, the phone for the room did not work. The room smelled of smoke. And the manager on duty was trying to charge our card for the room smelling of smoke and we don't even smoke. And on booking.com it said a double room with double beds and It was one room with double full size beds. So with them charging me 311.00 for what was a supposed to be a double room and was not, they have tried to charge 50.00 once 100.00 and 200.00 once for damages to the room for smoking and we have never smoked a day in our lives. Also was woken up the last morning at 5 am for a alarm that went off for 10 minutes. Not one time did they refill our coffee ask about towels nothing your on your own when you check in.

Liked: Cheap, convenient, complete breakfast, friendly staff.
Disliked: Dated interior outside room, laundry area needs a good clean and refurbishment. Looks shabby overall. Except rooms are fine. Nothing wrong to put your head down.

We expected more from this...

Liked: The lights in the bed worked just fine. The lights in the bathroom worked. The fan in the bathroom was blowing out a stank order. The lighting over the sink worked also.
Disliked: Upon our arrival (Friday March 29, 2024) the front desk agent (male) was very unprofessional with a previous customer. He kept dropping "F" bombs while he was checking the guy in. When it was our turn he was more professional. When we enter the elevator it smelled like urine. When we arrived in the room in had a musky smell. The housekeeping lady was very nice and you could see that she clean the room best to her ability, but it was still dirty. One pillowcase had a big stain on it, we had the housekeeping lady change it out for us. The bathroom floor and the flooring by the sink, microwave, and fridge looked like it hadn't been mopped in a while. We sprayed some disinfecting spray on the ground using one of the white toilets and it turned black. I did take a picture of it. The microwave and the fridge looked liked it hasn't been cleaned in months. We left the hotel to ran some errands, when we came back the elevator still smelled like urine. When we got to the 4th floor and on the carpeting you could see something on it, but it smelled like raw fish. Saturday we woke up to a strong sewage smell that was coming from the bathroom and the sink drains. I had to spray bleach down the drain to kill the smell for a while. Leaving that morning (6:50 a.m.) to run some errands outside the hotel had the smell exact smell. After coming back (8:05) the smoke detectors went off twice and we didn't know why. I open my door just to check and make sure the building wasn't on fire. Once I walked back in the room there was a pregnant roach on the ceiling that I was forced to kill. If I didn't kill it there's no way we would have stayed. Saturday night and Sunday morning the sewage smell kept coming back, which was extremely terrible. Before we checked out we were awaken with the smoke detector going off again like crazy.

Liked: Viera is a beautiful city with a variety of restaurants and shopping close by. The location of the hotel is convenient. It is close to the interstate. Some staff members were extremely polite and willing to help with any requests. I believe the employee's name was Willie. He was extremely friendly and willing to help with issues. There was another staff member, who worked the breakfast area that talked with us and made sure we had a pleasant experience.
Disliked: The facilities are dated. This causes the hotel to look unclean. The breakfast provided has minimal options. The juice machine was not working. There were days that breakfast options were out and some patrons did not have breakfast. There is a restroom on the main floor that has been out of service and it appears it will not be repaired. I read reviews from 3 months ago that stated it was out-of-order and it is still in that condition. The vending machines on the main floor were not in service.
