Liked: It wasn't too far from the BB&T Center.
Disliked: There is nothing special about this place. Room was clean, basic, no perks. We arrived late and there was no place open to get food.

The worst experience I ever...

Liked: I did NOT like my stay at La Quinta. I checked in, and less than four hours later, my wife had to take alprazolam because the smell gave her an instant headache, and I had to go find lozenges, for my throat became really I tried to stay because I did not want to complain but I just couldn't sleep. There were cockroaches in the fridge and in the drawers, and the nightstands and headboards looked like someone had a machete and chopped them. I was holding the headboard while trying to lift the bedspread and got a splinter. My wife took a shower and water from the roof was dripping on her while she was in the bathroom. The smell would not go away, and there was about two inches of space below the door to the room so we could hear everything and everyone who passed, and insects could crawl in. I took video and photos of the rusted items in the room. I tried to iron a shirt, and the dirty iron stuck to it, destroying it. I could not take it any more and went to the front desk, and they took me to a room on the third floor, but that was worse. When I opened the door, there was a cockroach on the counter, and the smell stopped me at the entran THen the agent took me to a room at the back of their front desk which was hot and smelly,no air-condition was on in the room, and the presence of roaches again and the terrible smell was too much. I told him that I would wait for our daughter to return for us, and I wanted to leave, so he promised to refund my money. I went back to the room and booked a Marriott hotel, but I felt that this was really ruining what was supposed to be a celebration of our daughter's graduation. At seven we were at the Front Desk and the next agent knew little to nothing about what we were talking. He then said he couldn't give us a refund and that only the manager, but he was coming in at ten o'clock.
Disliked: I did not like the room condition. I did not like that there were people loitering outside the property, sitting and searching through garbage and begging guests for food and money. I did not like the smell of the room. I did not like that we got sick, and to date, after several emails, the GM has not responded. I did not like that we were told we would be refunded, but I had to get money to pay for a new hotel, and I am still waiting for a refund. I did not like that I got splintered from the headboard. I did not like that there were roaches everywhere in the hotel. I did not like that we heard every footstep and word spoken in the corridor. I did not like the fact that we drove for an hour to get back to the hotel, and the front desk agent appears not to even have told the manager about our situation, or if he did, the manager felt it was more important to walk the property with a new operations hire than to deal with his guests. I did not like that despite numerous messages, he did not respond, and he did not answer his phone, although he left business cards at the counter. I did not like having to listen to his voice message every time I called. I did not like La Quinta. I stayed at the recommendation of a friend because we were trying to find somewhere close to be with our daughter for her graduation, but that was a horrible choice. I did not like that my wife had to take alprazolam and I had to take losengers because we got sick from the smell and condition of the room. I did not like that; I was afraid to eat anything because of the roaches running all over. I have to say that the fact that no one has contacted me despite the messages is in keeping with the general feeling at La Quinta, No ONE CARES ABOUT THE GUEST. It's like staying or leaving; it's your choice. We don't care. I was not even offered a bandaid for the splinter. In fact, no one asked about it. I showed photos and they did not empathize or seem surprised.

we didn't stay. we left.

Liked: there was bodily fluid all over the mattresses. Rat feces and filth everywhere.
Disliked: it was awful. the stench was horrible. there were bodily fluids on bed and eat feces on floor.

Disliked: I was charged 3 xs n I'm not sure y I was charged 3times when I got there they charged me 175.35 and then they they charged me 86.45 and then 100.35
