Inexpensive, but tired. Hopefully the...

Liked: The location, while out of town worked for us, and the diner next door was brilliant
Disliked: It was being refurbished and we would have appreciated being notified of this beforehand. The decor was very tired, carpets were shocking, the bed was way too soft and unsupportive There’s clearly an inconsistency between La Quinta properties and this time it counted against us

Avoid this Hotel

Liked: The room was not clean, the bed smelled of cigarettes all over. The A/C made lots of noise, and even if we were transferred to another room we face the same problem. The manager's answer was "this is it" We left the hotel after 2-night although our reservation was for 6 nights.
Disliked: Nothing at all!!!

Overall good

Liked: The breakfast and service in the mornings were excellent I like the fact that there was always coffee available.
Disliked: Didn't like that I had to put down $100 deposit also the rugs outside the elevator on the 6th floor were damp and no doubt need replacing.

Disappointed

Liked: The location was great. There was a nice restaurant called The Stamford diner, restaurant, bar. The food was good. The staff was great at the restaurant.
Disliked: My room door had been kicked in previously, the damage was visible. The shower rods were damaged because it appeared to be an altercation and the tiles were sloppily glued back in place. The toilet was damaged too and the caulking made it look really bad. Plus the toilet sat at an angle because it’s obviously broke. The flush was very slow but luckily it did flush. The sink was cracked, the faucet broke. The bed was broke. Every turn we made, the bed made a loud sound that woke me up throughout the night. The smoke detector was also not properly in place. I hope a camera was not installed there.

Excellent time I'm Stamforfd.

Liked: The Stamford diner was on the property. Excellent cuisine. Staff were friendly.
Disliked: Pool and gym were closed for renovations.
