Nice stay in Paducah

Liked: We booked a two-night stay here on April 7 for the solar eclipse, so we were just happy to find any rooms available. I had to downgrade my rating of the value, because the price had gone up for the eclipse, of course. The hotel ended up being nicer than we had expected. We had large room with two double beds, a desk, a TV, a dresser, and even a refrigerator and microwave. The beds were comfortable and we appreciated the blackout curtains. The breakfast included sausage, hard boiled eggs, waffles, yogurt, oatmeal, pastries, and coffee and other items and there was adequate seating in the pleasant breakfast area by the front door, even though the hotel was full. The staff was friendly and there was ample parking. The hotel is located just off the interstate in an area with lots of hotels. It's convenient to the interstate and only a 10-minute drive to downtown, but you definitely need a car to go anywhere. By the way, Paducah is definitely worth a visit. The Historic Riverfront on the Ohio River is very pretty and the downtown area has some interesting shops and restaurants. We didn't get to visit the National Quilt Museum, but it has great reviews.
Disliked: It's not a luxurious suite or apartment, but if you just need a standard hotel room with breakfast, it works well!
