We had a lovely time,
Liked: The people! The staff was very helpful and friendly. The quiet it is very quiet and peaceful after a day of doing whatever it is your In The area you come back to just relax sit by the fountain or sit by the fire pit.
Disliked: I honestly don’t have anything that I didn’t like. Maybe no TVs in the rooms but honestly we just sat out side and talked and hung out like people are supposed to do.

Gorgeous Rooms, peaceful, quiet and...
Liked: Peaceful and serene , the European style breakfast was incredible! Room was beautiful. The staff was so accommodating from providing a glass of wine (or two) upon our arrival to going out one morning and buying cinnamon rolls (my husband’s favorite breakfast treat) for his birthday. Guests gave a lounge all to themselves (like a mini suite with a guest refrigerator, TV, couch, bathroom and eating area). Very quiet as we needed a lot of sleep after a stressful few months, this ranch did not disappoint!
Disliked: A few critiques to help. A little extra table in the room would be helpful. And because I’m very sensitive to smells with chronic allergies, I could smell cat urine at the entrance of the room outside (not in)! I’ve had cats and they stake their claim like this all the time. Just thought I’d let them know. An easy wash at the entrance of the door would work. But my allergies were NOT bothered at all here. Tile floors and beauty abound! These by NO means would keep me from coming back. It is a ranch but it doesn’t smell like one at all. Just that door part. Very upscale and gorgeously decorated! Wow factor! I’d come back!

There is nothing about this...
Liked: The scenery of the ranch is beautiful.
Disliked: The service provided by the staff was appalling, and the room's hygiene was unacceptable. There was a complete lack of customer service awareness or professionalism, from the housekeepers to the general manager. When we returned to our room at 10 PM, a cat unexpectedly dashed out. It turned out to be a hotel-owned cat, likely left in the room by the staff for up to 10 hours. The cat soiled the bedding, leaving black paw prints and fur all over the bed.Despite making numerous calls to the front desk, no one answered. Eventually, someone responded via text but refused to discuss the matter over the phone. After a frustrating exchange lasting about an hour, the hotel refused to switch our room. The housekeeper reluctantly came to clean the room after repeated requests, but her attitude was unprofessional and rude. She threw the bedding onto the floor as the attached picture shown, and when I pointed this out, she unapologetically asked, 'Where else should I put it?' The bedding was then placed back on my bed for me to sleep on.It is worth mentioning that this housekeeper is also the hotel’s primary kitchen staff member, responsible for preparing guests’ breakfast every day.The next day, the general manager sent me a message apologizing for the incident. However, when I shared the details of the situation, they failed to provide any meaningful resolution or response. In conclusion, aside from the pleasant scenery, there is nothing about this hotel that justifies its star rating.

Liked: La Lomita RanchYour search can stop here! If you are looking for charm, comfort, a peaceful setting, meticulous gardens and the friendliest hostess Darlene serving up a delicious breakfast and more, you’ve found it! LLR has thought of everything, the decor and thoughtful touches are lovely in this Spanish hacienda meets Equestrian ranch complete with carrots to feed the resident horses. They are conveniently located just minutes from downtown San Luis Obispo with easy access to restaurants and shops. If wineries are on your to do list they are close by too. LLR even has their own wine. Only regret, we couldn’t stay longer! Thank you, Darlene for your hospitality. Looking forward to the next visit.
