Disliked: Some rooms are updated and some are not. Try to make sure you have a updated room. Although they are still beautiful.

Disliked: Severely disappointed. The room didn't have a working phone. Also supposedly "upgraded" to a better room but it had 2 full sized beds vs. the king sized one I reserved. Basically, bait and switch to a room that is probably harder for them to fill.

Everything absolutely perfect
Liked: I definitely loved everything. Very friendly staff from the time we checked in with Irene. Who was very professional, curtious and very accommodating. Loved our room, very clean and our top floor ocean view was perfect. Loved the 24 hour pool access and the waiters by the pool. Juaquin was great, very on point by the pool. Very friendly and making us feel like at home. I stayed at the vanderbilt hotel san juan and it doesn?t even compare to La Concha, definitely recommending and definitely coming back with the kids next time.

Liked: Location was great, within walking distance to some great restaurants and beaches besides the ones on the property.
We had a fantastic ocean view, loved every minute of looking out the balcony. We also loved hearing the co'qui frogs every night.
Staff was very friendly - our check-in host Michael Bonazi was great as well as the Palimar guest shop host!
The beach, even though a public beach, was very nicely maintained and clean - no problems whatsoever.
The room was very nice and comfortable and clean.
Disliked: Only some slight negatives concerning the food in the hotel. The breakfast and lunch/poolside food service was a bit over-priced, would have liked some better range of price options. For example, ordered a puerto rican coffee with a shot of Kahlua from the lobby bar. Coffee was $6, Kahlua shot was $11. A $17 drink plus tip, maybe 10oz cup, was way more expensive than expected. The room service was a little misleading, as the "all-day menu" was only offered until 11pm. We took a night-time excursion to the biobay in Vieques which was from 3pm to 11:30pm and were starving when we got back (plus not wanting to venture out to a restaurant) so that was the only disappointment with the room service. Our room had only a shower, no tub, which was fine but the shower had only a glass partition half way - no sliding door - so it tended to get the floor a bit wet. Not a big deal, just FYI.
