Classic Comfort Steps from Paddington Station

Modern convenience meets traditional charm at Kingsway Park Hotel, a well-located London stay just a 3-minute walk from Paddington Station. Refurbished in 2014, this hotel offers bright rooms with private bathrooms, free Wi-Fi, and satellite TV, making it a great budget base for exploring the city—or heading out to a show. With Hyde Park just a 5-minute stroll away and Oxford Street within walking distance, you’re right in the heart of the action without the chaos.

Why Concert-goers love it

You can’t beat the location—central and well-connected. From Paddington Station, you’ve got fast access to London’s top concert venues via tube or bus. After a big night, it’s comforting to know you’re only a short walk from your bed. The area is surprisingly quiet at night for central London, which makes it ideal for winding down post-show. And with check-in from 14:00 and check-out at 11:00, there’s just enough flexibility for weekend gig trips.

Who this Hotel is great for

- Groups of friends looking for a central base without blowing the budget
- Solo travelers catching a bucket-list performance
- Couples combining music with a weekend getaway
- Fans seeking quiet recovery time post-concert

Food and Drink Options

Start the day right with a full English breakfast included. While there’s no all-night room service, you’re surrounded by walkable cafes, pubs, and eateries. Grab a bite before the show or refuel after—it’s all nearby. The hotel provides tea and coffee facilities in-room, perfect for post-concert wind-downs.

Nightlife Options

While Kingsway Park Hotel doesn’t have an on-site bar, the surrounding area is full of classic British pubs and cozy lounges. You’re a short ride from the West End and Soho nightlife, or head to nearby Edgware Road for late-night bites and beverages. Whether you want to dance or decompress, options abound.

What People Say

Guests love the location most—it’s a standout for those heading to events. Many highlight the friendly staff, clean rooms, and the bonus of a filling breakfast included in the price. Reviewers appreciate the easy transport links and overall good value for central London.

Areas for Improvement

Rooms can be on the smaller side, especially for groups with lots of luggage. Some guests mention the decor feels a bit dated in places, but most agree it’s clean and comfortable. If you’re after luxury, this isn’t it—but it hits the mark for convenience and charm.

The Bottom Line

For concert-goers wanting a central, budget-friendly stay with easy access to London’s gigs and green spaces, Kingsway Park Hotel is a solid pick.

Short stay in London, close...

Liked: Very easy to get to from Heathrow/Paddington, which is my main motivation for staying on several trips. If you like the full English breakfast, you can put away a thousand calories. Otherwise, there's cereal.
Disliked: Rooms are small. Some rooms are super small - this stay I got one big enough to turn around in (score). This is London, so this is always my expectation

I stayed at the hotel...

Liked: The first thing I’d highlight is the location. You’re just a 5-minute walk from Paddington Station, which connects to key underground lines—especially the new Elizabeth Line, which links all the important parts of the city. You can get to the hotel quickly from almost anywhere.Next, the staff are truly kind and welcoming. The receptionists are well-prepared, and if you arrive before check-in (2:00 PM), you can leave your luggage at the front desk and head out to enjoy the city. You can return anytime—there’s always someone at reception. You just fill out a short form, and that’s it. No extra fees, no special conditions. The same goes for check-out: you simply return your room key and get a warm goodbye. You really feel welcome here.My room was on the top floor, accessible via typically narrow British carpeted stairs—which I didn’t mind. The room was clean, tidy, and well-equipped. The bathroom with shower and toilet was small but sufficient, and there was plenty of hot water. The bed was wide enough, though the high mattress had a bit of a bounce I had to get used to. My window faced the street, but I didn’t hear any noise at night.Breakfast is served in a small basement room. A very kind lady offers a traditional English breakfast with eggs, tomato beans, potato rosti, bacon, and sausages. You can toast white or brown bread. There’s also a vegetarian option, where she’ll ask how many eggs you’d like. You can spread butter or jam on your toast, or grab some cornflakes. Drinks include orange or apple juice (100%), coffee, and tea. Since we’re in Britain, I’d recommend the tea. 🙂Greetings to the gentlemen at reception—and thank you for the lovely stay and the donuts!
Disliked: The only downside worth mentioning is the thin walls. If someone is chatting in the room next door at night, you’ll hear it. Same if someone slams a door on your floor. But I feel this is common in most city hotels.
