Kingsway Park Hotel

Very good

Liked: Staff were very accommodating and friendly and couldn't have been more helpful. Very comfy beds and good size room.
Disliked: The fan didn't seem to blow out cold air and there were a lot of steps

Liked: Very good location from Paddington station and within walking distance of Hyde Park
Disliked: Not that they could change it but the en-suite toilet and shower were small and as the shower curtain wasn’t quite big enough the water spread a long way.

Pleasant

Liked: Location was good for hyde park concert only a 15-20 minute walk, staff were friendly and polite, it had parking and a good breakfast, room was ideal for what we needed it for other than it being hot
Disliked: The room was good but it was hotter than the sun even with the fan provided which wasn't very powerful, had to run some towels under the tap and lay them over us to cool down through the night, obviously not the hotels fault it was a hot day/night but maybe an upgrade of fans would be helpful for summer bookings, would probably be ideal temperature for winter

Liked: The proximity to Hyde Park was the main reason I chose this hotel & it was great for our trip.The staff I encountered were so friendly & helpful - 10/10 for the staff!
Disliked: The rooms could do with a bit of updating and definitely needs air con!! There was a portable fan in the room but that was just blowing around hot air. We had a room for 4 but I’d say it was very tight with a double & 2 singles in, so would have been better as a room for 2 or 3 at a push. But we were literally just sleeping here so it was fine.

Liked: Location was good
Disliked: The stay at the hotel was absolutely awful, it was 33° outside with not a touch of wind. Our room was 3 adults and it wasn’t the room we had booked, I had my brother in law with me who has Cerebral Palsy and we were on the top floor of the building… Our shower didn’t work so we couldn’t shower, there was pubic hair all over the shower floor and the room had a stench of cat urine. I went down to explain about the shower being broken, the heat of the room when it didn’t have air conditioning and the room being on the top floor which was extremely exhausting for my brother in law and got met with a lovely receptionist who it seemed he couldn’t do much but hand me a cold can of Dr Pepper…. The breakfast had a hair in it and we only got 2 plates instead of 3 which the lady wasn’t impressed by us asking for a 3rd plate. I will say the staff are absolutely lovely as they can’t do much but apologise, it is the higher management that need to take a long look at themselves if they are charging such extortionate prices for one night in a room that doesn’t even have air conditioning, water, a working kettle, a working shower or at least a fresh smell. When I went on to have a nose earlier I seen the price for a night went up by £400… I paid £166 a night a week before my stay and it’s now £556 a night. APPALLING!
